Last I checked, the United States government has been a primary instigator of international conflict since 1890 without any realistic threat of invasion and loss of sovereignty since the Revolution.
More people die in their swimming pools.

You're also more likely to die in a car crash traveling to vote than for your vote to impact a national election. The odds are even worse if you live in California, Texas, Hawaii, or Alaska.
The CDC spends substantially more taxpayer dollars on cancer research as opposed to research on heart disease even though heart disease is much more likely to kill you.
We live in a fear driven society where scary things have more public policy weight than real threats.
There was a national debate over banning "assault rifles" because of a tragedy where twenty-two children were murdered. You're slightly more likely to be killed by ALL rifles in the US than be bludgeoned to death...Sidearms have always been the primary murder weapon.
Today I watched the morning news programs and I don't remember if it was Meet the Press or This Week but they were asking how an otherwise well adjusted young male with a scholarship to Dartmouth would turn to terrorism; They concluded it was mind boggling. I said, wtf...haven't you been paying attention. He is a religious minority that identifies with his religion and saw over years US politicians killing innocent Muslim women and children all over the world without remorse. It breaks my heart every time I see the photo of the eight year old murdered in their bombing but hundreds of CHILDREN have been murdered by Obama's drone strikes and that breaks my heart as well because they have no voice because unless you're part of the tribe your life is worthless.
Has the deadline passed yet? Where's his startling revelation?

We just need to do background checks on them.
That way we can screen out the people who are building one just to drown themselves.
