i too spent time with the family and restrained from going to the beach. i heard about the excellent gigs that were taking place on friday. i wish i was healthy enough to have witnessed. but there is always tomorrow. tell adam he is a genius. peace.
I had a lovely weekend. I spent Saturday afternoon with my parents. My mom has a really bad back and was on methadone (she's always on a 24 hour morphine feed) so she was kind of screwy from that. My sister and I got her some funky plants and she thought they were great. We couldn't take her out or anything as she was pretty miserable/drugged up.

I got my girls back on Sat night and had THE FIRST REAL settlement conversation with my ex. I am cautiously optimistic.
As for the day itself, three out of my four were ill, the weather blew chunks BIG TIME (cold and rainy), funds are a bit tight for me so we didn't go anywhere. I let them each take nice long mid-afternoon bubble baths. They each played until they were majorly pruned. We had REAL LATE breakfast, lunch, dinner. Played a gazillion rounds of UNO and talked about anything and everything from sex to what I was like when I was a kid. I did like umptee um loads of laundry a mandatory pastime in my household on any given holiday - LOL.
Doesn't seem like much, but it was grand. They bought cute little plants for me and made me wonderful cards and a coupon book for chores. Best of all their father helped them make me a T-shirt with their footprints and names and the words "Happy Mother's Day 2002" on it. It seems sad on the one hand that it took a divorce to make him see how much he neglected me and the girls, but if it makes him a better father and maybe someday a better spouse to some nice woman, then I say it was worth it!
