how to get sponsored

Gals,

I know some of you compete. How do you get sponsors? Do you just go up to someone and ask them to sponsor you?

The reason I ask is that I want to go on rugby tour this year. The club manager received a couple of checks for the club, but only the men have gone on tour. None of the women have.

If you can help a rugby fiend out, let me know.

I can't speak for everyone, but most of the people I know in amateur body building (esp on the local level) are footing their own bill... Of course I'd love if I could get someone to pay for my chicken & steak bill every week... I know one girl who wants to do the Galaxy pageant (or whatever it is) - but she already has a small Nike sponsership because she's into extreme mountain biking or something else.
