how to find a good barber

I'm all shaggy. I'd like to get something professional looking, but I don't want to get butchered.
I've cut my own hair for the last 7ish years.
Any tips?

Those fancy Mall type hair places seem OK if you are in touch with
your feminine side or a Metro.

My wife gives me a #1 clipper cut in the back yard every few weeks but
she is currently booked solid.

learn a double windsor knot to really impress. It's difficult and will take you a few hours to get it down but worth it.
