how to eat more food?

hello im 18, 145 lbs. been working out 2 years. when I started working out i didnt care about eating so I didnt really and weighed 115. once I started working out i started eating a lot more and after a year weighed 145. Ive been 145 for the past year though.

How can I make myself eat more? I do try to stuff myself, my eating is spread out, etc. Im not micromanaging my diet since I dont care too much about leanness and dont have a kitchen (college).

I poo 2x a day and have acid reflux (started after I started working out and eating more), so could I just have a small stomach or something? Either way, how can I shovel more food down?

When I try to say eat a sandwich when Im already somewhat full, ill basically slowly finish it off over the course of ~2 hours which means it was pretty pointless since I could have just waited those 2 hours and then eaten. I know I dont eat very much at the moment so I was wondering what are some ways to get in some extra food (not junk though)

thanks...

First, congrats on the big gains so far.

Without really seeing what you're eating, if you're having trouble fitting calories, shift towards more calorie dense foods. Try out carbs like pasta & potatos, fats like oils & ANPB. If you're not already, make sure you're adding maltodextrin and dextrose to your PWO shake - this usually is a ~600 cal meal for me.

When I was your age, I weighed about the same as you do. Im now 25 and still to this day I have a hard time eating enough. You will find its easier as you get older. I didnt really start to gain weight until I was around 20. The best advise I can give you is to make sure your eating the right food when you do eat. Drinking shakes really helped me out also. I dont know if you do that now or not. And dont just drink the protien shakes, do the shakes with a lot of carbs, protien, etc. Another thing that has helped me that I didnt do before, is have a protien shake right before bed. Hope I helped. Good luck.

Congrats so far.

I was also lighter when I was younger - you can do it. None of this woe is me, small stomach, acid reflux shit.

Proteins. Lots of meals. Shakes. You have to live it 24 hours a day if you really want to grow. Shtting 2x a day is great. Shoot for 3x a day!

Eat, lift, rest. Learn how to do all 3, you will get big and strong...LIKE BULL!

Try doing some light cardio first thing in the morning to spike your metabolism and really get you appetite up. Just slam a protein shake right before your run and prepare to eat.

how to eat more: what you do is put the food in your hand, then slowly raise it to our mouth, put the food in your mouth, and the close your mouth. Then with your mouth closed open and close your jaw. Once the food is soft enough, swallow it. Repeat that until you've finished the food you intend to eat.

Just Kidding. I'm getting used to eating heavy, and eating more meals. I think you build a tolerance to eating just like anything else. I eat 1/2 lb. of lunch meat everyday on sandwiches for lunch. THe first time I did that I thought I was gonna hurl. I felt like I was on fear factor eating the sheep balls or some shit. Now it's normal, down the hatch. ANd I still get hungry a couple hours later.

Don't give up. Your diet is something you have to work at just like your lifting.

Do what I did. Sit down at a local restaurant and order a 1 lb. steak. Eat the whole thing and don't stop until you have. After this event in my life I never had the feeling "full" after a meal. This was with potatoes and corn too. I could still feel it the next morning.

"Sit down at a local restaurant and order a 1 lb. steak."

You know, I did that as well, not on purpose, but I cooked a 1 lb. steak, and ate it all within like an hour while I kicked it on the couch. And I've eaten more since then. Hmmmmmm, maybe I should go for a 24 oz. next.
