This is great information for newbies and even vets that have been around for a while. Please take the time to read some of the suggestions below as it could save you from being scammed. The information pertains to Meso members but really applies to all boards.

As of late there has been a lot of scammers using meso as their favorite hunting grounds, this isn’t much of a surprise really they’ve always been around, but now with open end proxy servers it makes it easy for them to be banned and come back under a new name minutes later. And of course there is someone, most likely a newbie that will come in and fall prey to this person, and this attracts more and more scammers to this board thinking they can get away with it. A lot of scammers do get away with scamming a few people but some unlucky ones will be caught and well, whatever happens to them we probably won’t hear about, regardless they got what they deserved.
So, now for everyone here on Meso I would like to post this up, in hopes that it might save a few people from being scammed.
1. Always use a well known source that has been in game for at least a year and has a solid track record.
2. Avoid new sources, new sources pop up a lot around here and 9 out of 10 times they will be scammers and will be offering gear for low, low prices that may intrigue newbies into buying it without a second thought.
3. Refs. Well known sources around will have golden refs with tons of people, if you happen upon a source who is unwilling to give refs or only has a couple then I suggest you wait a while until this person has proven himself. Also, always check refs if you feel unsure I’m sure Meso bros would be happy to tell of there transactions with the source in question if you ask.
4. Real refs, if a source sends you refs that are not from secure emails, i.e. johndoe@hotmail or yahoo, some shit like that, DO NOT TRUST THAT SOURCE. Any legitimate source will not even reply if he is sent an email from a non-secure email address. Also, if the refs that are sent to you are all people not on Meso, I would not trust them.
5. Pushing. Another tool of the scammer is to send refs, most likely all will be his emails and include something like “I need to know now because I’ve only got a few more left”. Do not be pushed into a sale by someone using that ploy, the person is probably scared that when you check the sources you will see they are all fake.
6. Paying a bit extra. Some people will run around the board looking for the best deal and will most likely find a scammer with that deal going on, is it really worth it to save $10-20 bucks on something when you might be losing $200 more? For me, I will pay a bit extra for using a legit source that I know wont fuck me over. If you do see an excellent deal that is not with a well known source, then don’t even bother.
7. Sources going bad. It’s a sad fact that, yes, some golden sources may turn scammer or get fucked and run off with your money. One way to try and avoid this is if you see the sources TA or products starting to slip then don’t use them.
8. Fronts. If you see a good deal with a lesser know source, then ask for a front. Any source that wants to make a name for themselves will give fronts until they build up a good repertoire with members. And when I say front, I don’t mean a half front. If they won’t give a front and only offer a half front then stay away until someone else verifies them.
9. No refs or very few refs. I’ve seen people get fucked this way, you don’t have refs but you want something from someone is the only one offering it and because of your lack of refs they won’t front. Yes a problem, and most likely this person is pushing it. Well let it go by, no doubt at some point it will pop up again, and in the mean time get refs. Use a well known source and follow my advice above to find such a source, and now you have refs with a source, I suggest getting gear from a few sources or using one religiously so he will vouch for you no matter what.
10. Narcotics, pain meds and all in all scheduled control substances. Here is a biggy with scammers, a lot of people on here like pain meds and take risks with random people to get them. Well, these random people are most likely scammers, scammers know that pain meds are big wherever they hunt for cash. If they won’t front the pain meds then don’t waste your time writing another email or pm to this person. All in all for this, stay away from this shit, its addictive and can cause you a shitload of trouble that’s simply not worth it, if you want pain meds for a legitimate reason then go to your doctor and ask! Or go break some bones and then you’ll get some for sure.
I hope this will help some members on the board from getting fucked over by scammers.
