I cheat ALL the time. I had a couple of chile dogs and a couple of beers yesterday after work. I know its my weakness, but I've never had to diet before. Now I just want to get a little more of a lean (yet natural) look.

My justification is "hey I can see my abs I must be doing alright" right?

I know I'm a puss:bawling:
 
I might have ice cream once a week. I usually set aside sat. or sun. as my cheat day. Sometimes I cheat during the week. But if I do cheat during the week, it is not on something super bad, just fruit or some granola cereal. But if I am on a cutting diet for summer or a contest. Cheats don't even come into my mind.

I don't think of my eating as a diet. I think of it as eating clean day in and day out, and straying away from my eating habits for a meal or two. We all know that eating clean is not just going on a diet for 12 weeks. And the people who get in shape and stay in shape eat clean all the time. It's a lifestyle, not a diet. If you eat ice-cream, then enjoy it while your eating it and then move on and hit the gym and eat clean for as long as you can.

I think a lot of people make the mistake(like I have)of eating bad for more than a day. I think that in our minds, me think that since we had one cheat meal, either we feel bad and decide to eat more, or we just think it won't hurt us. But it will, I think the best thing to do if you eat bad is to move on and get back to eating clean again.
 
One meal a week. One meal w/desert on saturday night. Tonight was pizza and ben and jerry's. Stuff like that NEVER tastes so good as when you've been eating broiled chicken, fish, protein shakes etc. for a whole week.
 
I usually have once piece of chocolate a day to keep cravings down,and one cheat day a week when bulking,but it isnt to bad

lately its been alot because Im having issues setting a schedule,but now with my upcoming cycle that starts tomorrow I have things written so they work out fine
 
yeah junk food tastes sooooooooo much better when you haven't been having any for a while.

I don't cheat till my G/F is due on then she buys choclate / kebabs / chippys / pizza and on and on...... I have to test it all for poison being the man hahahaha...

good old chips gravy and pudding, The uk guys on the forum will know what I mean, you don't have chippys anywhere else. you don't know what you are missing hahaha fat and carbs on a plate.

Usually only once a week, but that's strategic (planned).. kind of.

I have set aside the past few Saturdays for cheat days which result in me taking in far too many not very clean calories :p

I think I will drop it down somewhat as progress is stalling at 10% now.
 
i dotn cheat...i used to do the one day aweekt hing...but i felt so blah te next day...so then i started having one otameal raison cookie with my lunch everyday...and then i recenely traded that in for Zone Perfect bars...which i haev pre-workout..adn they are so good....so ya that is my treat a day...lol oh and i agree with everyone who said sweets...taste 100% better when u haven't had them for a longer period of time....u savour it lol
 
What's this word cheat you guys speak of? LOL....honestly havent strayed from my diet in 3+ years....I simply crave peanuts and ta thick casein shake, sweetned with davinchii syrups...have this every night with a dalop of cool whip.....cheat? Hardly,,,,
 
I think the trouble I have is that I can't say no to my girlfriend or friends when they ask me to come out with them to eat or do other activities that involving eating or drinking. I'd rather not feel like an antisocial loser at home while my friends are out having a good time. How do you guys deal with that? Especially since I'm on a CKD, it's hard to find any low-carb friendly meals when we go out. People also get a little freaked out if you're the only one not eating and all you can do is sit there and watch them eat.
 
IM not even going to bs you, once a week I go balls out from sat morn to 6:00 pm sat eve. It works for me well.

yeah, when most say this, they have a big meal and then are so stuffed, they actually end up eating less total cals then they normally would......post saturdays diet...no bsing.........
 
My idea of cheating is eating more tuna, and protein shakes than a normal day. That in mind, Saturday and Sunday I eat more than usual. I still eat clean, but eat more on those days.

When I used to cheat I would eat bad on sunday, and started to feel like SH_T the next couple of days. I feel much better eating the way I do now.

LOL!!! More tuna?! Mmmm... I think I'll pass up the ice cream for that next week! Hahaha, just playin ;)
I hear ya though about feeling like crap the next couple of days. Nooo fun.
 
im on ckd. so sunday through firday there is no cheating whatsover. on my carbups i have been very good no sweets just pastas etc.... i find that now im a few weeks into my ckd i dont crave carbs till much later in the week, like thursday. so when im craving carbs its right before carbup. during carbup i eat clean carbs because i have been craving the carbs not the junk. i dont even like candy etc.....
 
Does eating 30-40 walnuts in one sitting or eating half a bag (250g) of pistachios count as cheating? Damn I love those stuff. Im weird arent I? :P
 
lately its been more like 3-4 times a week... it hasn't affected my progress negatively at all, but i don't wanna make a habit out of it
 
Cutting? Absolutley never...........

Bulking - one cheat food each day, but usually its semi clean - 6-7 handfulls of peanuts, couple glasses of wine, ANPB and banana sandwhich, hot chocolate with milk, big fat burger, protein bar....just things I wouldnt normally eat when cutting...........
