Hi guys, I'm a 32 year old females who has natural water retention issues, I will start training soon to shape off a few weeks and I would like to keep an eye on my water intake at the gym , how much do you think is enough to hydrate myself during and after work out? thank you.

@stevesmi is 100% correct

Remember that water is your body's most precious resource. If you start to restrict it, it will hold onto water and you will retain water as a defence mechanism.

You will actually prevent retaining water by drinking lots of water.

A good water intake level to shoot for is 5-6L of water each day. Sip it throughout the day.

You need to be hydrated BEFORE you go to the gym. Yes you will drink while training but you don't want to be trying to catch up on hydration during exercise.
