I am starting a calorie restrictive diet this has been the best diet for me in the past to lose fat.
the downside is i have been out of lifting regularly for about 6 years now
and my weight has shot through the roof. I have not done a body fat measurement but i know its super high i have a huge gut right now.
my weight is 238 lbs according to my exercise / activity i need to consume right around 1900 calories a day to lose about 2lbs of weight a week.
my main thing in this dieting is i do not want to lose muscle mass i know it only seems logical to eat an elevated amount of protein to accomplish this.
now to the meat of my question. my goal weight is between 190 and 195. i know the rule of thumb is protein grams per pound of body weight, but does this logic still apply if i am wanting to weigh 190 - 195 lbs in body weight. 238 grams of protein is pretty extreme for my restrictive caloric intake that just about any weight loss calculator computes for me reaching my target goal weight.
sorry for the long post and thanks to those who reply
