How many people train the neck?

i thought about it, but remembering to do it and taking the time while im actually in the gym thats another story.

i somehow use my neck for a lot of dumbbell movements, so my necks and traps usually get worked indirectly, and are definately not lagging bodyparts

I usually do with my gf:licker: Always seems like a long set full of reps..... Actually to get a musclular neck i just work on shrugs and if I ever need results quick i use wrestling neck workouts to strengthen my neck...

I do neck once a week. I love training the neck. My neck is thick and not lagging at all. With all the other compound movements your neck gets a lot of synergy but adding 1 to 2 sets a week makes a huge difference. I've found for me anyway, the neck grows rather easily. I posted a towel method for training the neck. Its easy and you'll feel it the next day for sure. I would do them cobin as long as you got energy left to do them. Thats why i usually do them first.

Yea I saw that in the other thread you posted it, thats the exercises I was planning on doing.

I use to do a lot fo wrestling stuff to build my neck, bridges, isometrics...etc

My neck gets hit pretty hard from basic stuff. Watch yourself in the mirror when you're trying to pull serious weight, your neck is straining pretty damn hard.

How do ya' do bridges and such? Oh wait, that's when you're on your knees and stuff? Anything else I can do for neck (like what wrestling exercises)?

Actually LK, what I was getting at was that I use to do those types of neck specific excercises.

My neck has grown much better from simple big lifts. The day after heavy deads my neck feels like I was in the ring the previous day. Even when I go really heavy on silly things like curls, I strain my neck a lot.

But, if you wanted to learn more direct neck stuff, do a search for neck, neck bridges, etc...I know there has been threads on it. If you can't find anything pm me

Doing heavy deadlifts took my neck from 17 to 18.5 - 19 inches in two years. Romanian deadlifts, regular deadlifts, barbell rows, dumbbell rows, and any kind of overhead press will hit those neck/shoulder girdle muscles hard.

At this point, I have absolutely no desire for my neck to get any bigger.

And buying new dress shirts every couple of months is pretty lame, too.
