How many people eat organic?

I honestly think "organic" is a marketing myth and will not pay the extra cash for "organic" anything. What does organic mean?

I dont buy all organic but enjoy my fruits and vegetables without
wax. Apples especially, I read somewhere the shelf life of an apple is huge if it is waxed.

I use a product called Fit (by Proctor and Gamble) to wash fruits and vegetables....just toss em in a strainer, spray em' down, and rinse with cold water. It's amazing how much better they look, and taste.

sometimes i dont think washing is enough. Naturally we should be able to eat the pits of fruit but it is filled with pesticides.

I hope your wrong powerhouse. Some of the best things for us
brocolli and spinach for instance are grown close to the ground
where all of natures creatures can get at them and those are heavily treated with pestisides. In the organic ranches they use fertilizers to controll the pest and Im not sure which is worse?

Solidspine is exactly right. How do you define organic? There is no standard, except for ones defined by state laws to allow a prduct to be "certified organic". But they're all different and most state don't have one. Bro, I'm taking a bio class this summer. And I can tell you this much, my professor, has basically taught us that is the biggest bullshit out there. It's all marketing hype. You shoud see some of the sick videos we've watched about farms, and what the fertilizer and shit is composed of.
