How many ml's through a single filter?

Anyone know the maximum number of ml's that should be run through a .45 Whatman filter before switching to a new one?

It depends on how dirty the oil is. When I make fina, I pre-filter and at a room temp of about 80 degrees, I can easily filter 2 belts of comp th through 1 filter. Draw up a bunch of shit in your syringe, and your lucky to get 3ml's through---Freak

OK.....so....theoretically, if my oil is clean, I could run an infinite amount of oil through the filter and it would still be effective and doing its job?

Not true. Look at what the given filter is rated. Most of what people are using are going to be 0.45 micron PVDF filters.
PVDF membrane, 25mm, 0.45 pore size will do100ml.
PVDF SF in 25mm 0.22 pore size will do 100ml.
These are Whatman. Someone said Gelman made better ones. I have no idea. Whatmans have worked fine for me so that's all I can comment.
