I am always hearing others say it's best to train during the day time because you will have more energy and you will get more meals in after your workout which is good when your muscles are recovering rather than working out prior to sleep and not eating any food until 8 or 9 hrs later when you wake up. Yeah, it sounds logical. Training during the day time is the best thing to do.... but doesn't it depend what time you wake up and when you go to sleep? I guess what I'm really asking is about how many hours prior to sleep should you workout? Because I usually go to bed about 3:30 or 4AM and I wake up about 12PM. My "day time" isn't the same as others and usually I enjoy working out around 8 or 9PM rather than what is suggested. I usually train 7 or 8 hours prior to sleep and I would get in about 3 meals after my workouts. For someone like me who is trying to make some gains, is working out 7 to 8 hours prior to sleep good enough?
