How many of ya'll have been scammed before and how much did you lose. In light of all the recent scamming this question just came to mind.

Got scammed for $395. Said the package was sent almost 11 weeks ago and nothing. Not even a letter. The source told me he resent my stuffs and that is almost 4 weeks ago?!?! Mail from the area doesn't take that long.........I received from 2 other guys within 10-15days and they are in countries near to the scammer.
 
I fell for one of the scammers up in Alberta Canada in 1996. They had killer prices and were supposed to ship from inside the US. Me and my friend lost about $650 to those fuckers.
 
im in the 1000.00 plus group so how well do you think i trust people??? thank god its never been from anyone here its all been people around me and that will soon be taken care of!!:)
 
These are some pretty dramatic loses. The first time I ordered I got scammed and almost didn't want to try again. There just seemed to be a lot of post on scammers here in the past couple of weeks. About a month ago a well known source in fl dissapears now I here a mod is more than likely a scammer. Golfer18 I don't get your response.
 
For those of you saying that you got scammed when your source got BUSTED.........if you call that scamming you have a problem, unless you don't believe he got busted.
 
Is the cost of being scammed or being seized lower than the cost of getting the gear legitimately? And don't say you can't get it legitimately..you can.
 
Scammed by Stroyer in November 2000 for $1340. Completely true.

Scammed by some shithead in Romania, whose name I can't remember, for a few hundred bucks.

Burned by others for tens of thousands. Not the subject for online discussion; a deeply personal issue.

Great world out there, ain't it? I agree with 2Thick, of course, about the importance of doing source checks.

Romania you said ? there's one weirdo out there I guess its probably the same guy and he's still trying to scam people.....
 
Customs nailed me a few times. The worst that happened is I sent my cousin to a guy I made many orders too and he scammed him for 2000.00 and three other friends of his for a 1000.00. I felt pretty bad about that one.
 
I just got 4 TT EQ 32 amps of test and 100 novladex and believe it or not the only thing he didn't send is my clomid. Dunkonyou
 
never have, but just recieved first mail order. I guess that there are plenty of other chance though, I hop e it doesn't happen, even to others!!

Usually I agree with your posts, but to the above statement, I totally disagree, there is no fricking way in the good old USA that a bodybuilder can get all his or her needs legitimately.

Also lost money to scammer Michael King. $350. He offered discounts on future orders after spending the profit made from my money. Ther's no way I'd send that guy more money. And besides, I could'n afford to if I wanted to.

once from over seas. i was dumb and didn't do my research. i always learn the hard way. that was a long time ago.

Placed a order once at a online drug store and recieved a letter from customs, Not sure if the customs documents were legit, it's rumor some sources sent the documents to scare away scammed customers. Anyhow, I was taken for 175 dollars.
 
The shithead from Romania (Bucharest)...I just can't remember his name. Been a couple of years. Maybe he's changed it anyway. Should have known better; the guy could hardly write a literate sentence in English.

I got scammed, along with about 6 other people that Ive talked to by a guy that is still backed by someone well known. This guy is a selective scammer I assume, because he is still in business. The f*cker e-mails me after 6 months telling me that he needs more money, and this time he can get my stuff to me........Just out of the blue, F*cking piece of sh*t.

He was also dumb enough to send me a domestic address to mail to, so he can get it faster????
 
Ive only been scammed once it was only £5 for a sample. But ive got a good domestic source now who i deal with on the net and ive never had a problem yet. They live in Yorkshire, so a few UK bros might know who im on about.
 
More times then I care to think about and the funny thing is the sources were very reputable and had many mod backings. Lets see Once on a trade, a couple of times the source decided to go to the dark side. This does not include the 2 customs seizures, one Mexico border bust and one source busted (the most recent one). The last three I consider loses not being scammed. Considering all of my loses and being scammed I am well over a few thousand:bawling: .

I may have been scammed recently by a florida source who was referred to me by two mods at boarnbull.com. I have recently heard that one of the mods who referred me is the source himself. Always check sources with mods from other boards.
 
Don't know exactly what you're asking, Dutch.

Fortunately those with whom I communicate never had a claim, but I was left "holding a bag" - or "taking it in the shorts" - on several occasions, some small, some quite large. Different stuff. That's why I call it "being burned," rather than being outright scammed as Stroyer did to me (and Cuban, there are basically only two forms of true scamming - so you get the idea in what form it was). Guy's still operating, too.

But CoolHandLuke never scammed or burned me. Too bad he hit so many others. Seriously.

When it rains, it pours. I had never been scammed until recently (3 months ago) for a total of 4k's worth of Sero Holo's.

$1,000 by Hugewannabe for generic var. I had checked him with several Mod's who said he seemed legit and I also verified with the source and the distributor that they did in fact send him the stuff. Wound up sending me fake pills.
It's a shame too cause I've done the same thing with two other bro's and it worked out awesome.

But no matter, I am very confident in saying that this fucker WILL get his.:evil: :chainsaw: :kapow: :saw:
 
Several times...

coolhand luke..earned my trust and evern had me send some funds a second time:( My friend in Brazil with fake primos...someone in Greece...the postal inspector when he and some friends raided my house in 95. Oh, and most recently, other than cyber AS...jury is still out...Bernie Ebbers of Wordcom....I have 400 shares at $40 (16,000) that are now worth maybe $80 bucks:(
 
Almost was scammed by Yakuza but thanks to a heads up from Huck I gave it a second thought. =)
 
All my orders have came through so far except for the last one....me and a friend ordered and only some of the order, still waiting on the the rest....i emailed him and he wrote back and said its on its way but im starting to doubt it...and i did a source check on him and he is a reputable source...if i dont get my shit soon, i'll post the source so noone else gets ripped
 
i've been scammed once and that was enough for me. almost to the tune of $2,500.

I was burned for $300, S.O.B. will get his though....one of these days I am going to go sit on the mailing addy with a baseball bat and wait for someone to show up.
 
Twice...one for $200 and a possible just recently for #375....will be coming out with his info shortly if nothing changes.....

Where are you going to get it legitimately? Oh...you mean Mexico? yeh, then you can get busted for INTERNATIONAL SMUGGLING !!! Is that your definition of "legitimately"? Please explain. Maybe there is a all-loving vet who can define me as a horse and prescribe me some Equipoise?
 
Dang! Half of us have been scammed!

I have been pretty fortunate not to have been scammed. I did get "jacked" on the price my first go round. Not to bad. I kind of figured it was a lot cheaper than not getting anything.

Do your homework and chances are you won't get scammed. It does not guarantee anything though.

Sorry for you bros that have been scammed.

I got scammed on 100 D-Bol. They actually went to the touble of sending me 68 ant-acid tablets. I felt so stupid and angry...:mad:
 
I knew the area where he was from and nobody from there had heard of anyone getting busted. I know that does not mean it never happened but you would thilnk it would be in the local paper or somthing. His last email to me he promised he would send as soon as the heat was off him but been almost a year. hmmmm. I guess there is no way of finding out for sure if he got busted.

I had a very reliable source for quite some time so I have never posted about sources on here. But...now is a different story. I got burned for lots $$$$. Anyway, my concern now is finding a source and doing a source check. Any suggestions on source checking?
