How many calories needed to gain weight?

I've asked this before and I wasn't taken very seriously.

I need to know how many calories per pound of bodyweight is needed to gain weight FAST.... and I'm not talking about muscle. I'm talking about gaining weight in the form of fat, not muscle.

Now, let me just get this straight so I don't have a bunch of replies which aren't going to help.... this is for my wife.... she's underweight, and she thinks she's too skinny and wants to gain weight in the form of FAT. She does not want to train, she does not want to go to the gym, she does not want to gain muscle, she does not want to use drugs.

Now that we have that out of the way, please advise me as to how many calories per pound of bodyweight she needs to gain fat quickly. She wants to gain about 15-20lbs by early December.

Well, you asked for it… http://www.thespark.com/science/fat/ This links you to a project where two people set out to gain 30 pounds in 30 days. It takes you through there diet and shows their progress. Basically they eat like shit and do nothing for a month.
From what I know the only way she is going to put on 20 pounds in a few months without exercise is to eat to excess. If she can eat 3000 calories a day she will certainly fatten up. But you got to know and tell her that the weight she puts on will be a few rolls on her stomach and fat on her thighs. It will for surely look gross, a skinny person with a pot belly and cottage cheese thighs. I doubt this is what she has in mind.
 
If all she wants is fat then she should not even worry about a particular caloric plan just have her stuff her face with caloricly dense food all the time anytime whenever she wants. And since she just wants fat there is no reason to try and pace her weight gain just have her throw down double cheese burgers and fries before bed. Not the healthiest advice but I gaurenteed to get the job done.
 
so she dose not like life being skinny, what happens if she dose not like life being a lard ass?:confused: why in the name of all that is holy would you purposly throw on that much nasty ass fat:confused: i just dont get it, but if she most id say double cheese burgers fries milkshakes, Ben & Jerrys a tub evrey night
with half a bottle of peanut butter right before bed will do it
and but whole milk and whole whipping cream drink these daily
man this is makeing me hungry:D

Oh man, i don't know if this is serious or not lol but i'm LMAO :D

Ok, here it goes:

Stick to these foods (combos) for maximum fat-gain:
-high gi carbs w/ high fat...like white bread/sugar jelly/peanut butter w/ orange juice
-cheese cake w/ peanut butter
-soy milk w/ peanut butter

->I'll make this easy...the more peanut butter she eats w/ high-gi (sugary) carbs the more fatter she will get...and the faster it will happen

Yes, that's exactly what she said.

And so far burgers and fries haven't worked. In fact, she's lost weight.

So we're trying to get the right number of calories, and have an actual eating plan with set meals....
 
If she’s not dedicated enough to the cause that she won’t workout. I can tell you right now that she won’t stick to the diet either. Becides if she is that of a hard gainer, she will most likely have to stick to a high calorie diet forever just to keep the fat on her.

WOW! Just had an idea! Get her pregnant that’ll fatten her up!

It sounds like she doesn't want to do much of anything. If this is the case, I would have to get rid of her.:rolleyes:
 
All that I have to do to gain twenty is stop training...

You know for those of us on the other side of this coin....This is pretty stupid....unless ofcourse she has an eating disorder and the absolute lack of body fat is endangering her life.

Otherwise tell her to get off her backside go to the gym and train....eat like a horse and she'll put on weight but in the right places.

Whats amazing to me is you want to help her in her quest to get fatt....:confused:
