Hi,

I have a buddy of mine that tried cocaine on Sat night. He just called me and said that his new employer was going to do a prescreen hiring drug test tommorrow. Now I have already bitched at him and I know he made a mistake because he is a solid guy. My question is how long will it stay in his system and is there anything he needs to do, Thanks

Killa I have no Idea. I have never tried it , and I would not think he would know the difference either.,

usually about 8-16 months.

The only problem your "buddy" has is learning to parlay that snow into getting in with some young, rich, daddyvoidissue'd young blonde chicks.

tell him to get a new job.
If his employer doesn't want people who do coke, then your friend shouldn't work there. ..."no... but I'm different, I can have a heroin addiction and still function fine."... Need to realize, there are a million reasons an employer may not want to employ a drug user... none of them are of concern to you, all that matters is whether you do or don't use drugs. I am not prejudice either way, and would have no problem hiring good people who recreationally used drugs. I also, however, support private business owners' right to choose who they hire 100%. 80% of jobs do NOT drug test... is it that big of a deal to your friend to work for a company that does?

Maybe if you are in retail or fast food 80% of jobs don't drug test. Luckily for me that is not the case. I would say 50-60% of (real) jobs require a pre-employment test....about 30% require random. All federal employees are drug tested and that is about 8% of the workforce right there!
