How important is ones sexuality????

I have pretty much written off women as being spoiled, self absorbed brats whose physique starts falling apart at 19 years of age.


Now the question becomes, what is the driving force in ones life if sexuality has been analyzed and found wanting? This is really no problem is ones financial situation allows one to busily pursue other interests. However in the face of a major league recession, the lack of funds pretty much dries up funds for other major pursuits.

Some of my best years were spent living the life of an adventurer but that is very expensive.

I feel like a ship adrift at sea without a compass or heading. Our sexuality is thoroughly ingrained in us as an anthropological/biological mechanism for gene preservation. But something that can be over ridden by an observant mind.

it seems to me that TV is a part to blame. its sure has a point in making every succesive generation more self absorbed, while at the same time putting up stories about how love can be totally true. so you are left with narcissim and a stupid belief that everything will turn out for the better. more or less like leaving everything up to fate. if more ppl beleived in action instead of letting things run there course, i think alot of ppl would be better off.

but no, i think most ppl will marry someone. including test boy.

t-boy: good observation there kiddo. it sucks that our sexual drive is so damn strong... however, an even stronger drive is your own sense of survival. you say you lack direction. without trying to ignore evolutionary mechanisms and throwing them off to the side, you could hypothetically focus your energy on maximizing your "survival" quotient. be healthy, strong, intelligent, and have plenty of resources at your disposal (i.e. money) and you will be at the top of the food chain. at least that's my philosophy.

I haven't given up hope yet of finding someone. It's not so much finding a woman that's driving me, but rather i want to start a family, ie kids. I guess i could always try and adopt, but a single male adopting probably isn't much chance. And, i do want my own children.

I love sex, but i can go for long periods without it.......no problem. I guess i'm happy within myself so that helps. I think our desire for sex is also driven by our desire to satisy our ego as well......so if you are happy within yourself, your ego will not necessarily need stoking through sexual conquest.
