How good are these detox pills?

The other day, my girlfriend bought this two week body detox package. Just looking at, it seemed okay, but I'd like some other opinions. It's called the Enzymatic Therapy Whole Body Cleanse Internal Cleansing System. 1) Super Milk Thistle: Milk Thistle, Artichoke Leaf Extract, Dandelion Root Extract, Licorice Root and Rhizome Extract. 2) Laxative Formula: Magnesium Hydroxide, Proprietary Mucilage Blend, Burdock Root, Proprietary Soothing Blend, Red Clover Blossom Extract. 3) Fiber Fusion: Some proprietary fiber blend (too much stuff to list).

Well, there it is. I know that alot of information but I'd really appreciate if somebody could give me their opinion as to how well you think this detox package would work.

I have mixed feeling about pre-package detox (the laxstive part not the extract/root part)- I'm more for the natural approach through certain foods and types of fasting.

I was always under the impression that the 2 best things to get for a good detox program are: Water and Celery. That's it. Water flows through the body and the celery fiber attaches to the intestines and cleans you out. I've always wondered why those detox pills are so $$$$$$. You would think stuff that grows in nature like milk-thistle wouldn't be so expensive.

Also, some things I have been doing since I started my weight loss program is loading up on steel-cut oatmeal and rolled oats. I have a big cup in the morning and by the afternoon, I am showing the toilet bowl things it's never seen before. Really cleans u out!
