think about how excellent this would be...

how many steaks do you think you'd get from one cow?

i knew a kid whose dad raised cattle in high school, he had a HUGE freezer filled with beef

steak anytime you want.. mmmm

First, clear a spot in your basement.
Second, buy a few hundred cattle.
Third, lay down some straw and send in them cattles.
Fourth, feed them.
Five, lay down some plastic and get to cutting.

next step PROFIT

i live in the suburbs, i wonder if they would mind me having cows in my backard if i put up a fence

That would be so damn funny.

why would it be funny?

i wouldnt even insist on the fence being electric so the neighborhood kids could come over to pet and ride them

There is this one burb development near my house that is right beside a dairy pasture. It's surreal. Don't know why but that's how I feel when I see it.

hmmm, thats right, i can profit off their dairy as well...

this is sounding better and better

In all seriousness, it would depend on the zoning laws in your city/town.

In some areas, you are allowed to nearly anything you want - in other places they have laws as to high your fences are allowed to be, how long your grass can get, and fixed penalties for various animals being found on your property (usually rats).

lol, yesterday on viva la bam he got cited cuz he brought a elephant to his parents house

i think you need to feed them Fina pellets.

You use an implant gun on them. Their hide is rather thick so you have to shoot the pellets in with the gun.

Also Mdd after they are used up on diary you can sell them as meet and the hides for coats and the bones for glues. Lots of product there.

I grew up in a small town with lots of farms around. My family always had a freezer full of beef. The best part was though this was all free range beef which is much better than the pen raised beef you get in most supermarkets.

Personally I recommend that anyone thinking of getting into the cattle business as a way to make money would be better off taking their money and heading to Vegas with it. Raising one to eat is way more trouble than it is worth as you are really not going to save you that much money. You have to factor in the cost of the animal, the cost of the feed, the cost of the land to keep it on, the cost of the water, the cost of vaccine, and the cost of processing. At todays cattle prices by the time you got one ready to butcher the bottom will most likely have fallen out of the market and it would have been cheaper to just buy your meat at the store.
