How do you remedy losing weight but not fat?

I would suggest carb cycling.... but not in the typical "carb-up" fashion... rather, group your carbs around your workout.... Ive had great success doing this... and I plan to elaborate in another post soon.

all the weight you have lost could just be water. ketonic diets are notorious for the uber-fast weight drop -- carbs retain water and without them your body will drop it fast.

I always follow one golden rule that applies to both training and diet. "Everything works, and nothing works for long."

If you've noticed that bodyfat is not dropping anymore, you might wanna try just switching up your ratios or calorie amounts. No doubt, it takes a lot of experimentation, but keep adjusting values until you're back on track.

Also keep in mind that you may be losing visceral fat (the internal fat that protects and cushions your organs) before you are losing subcutaneous fat (that pesky fat that covers up your abs!!). Thus you'll be on the right track (with respect to cutting overall bodyfat levels) but it won't necessarily show in the mirror. Stick with it though!!

I've lost my mind and need a little advice.

A month ago I started the Anabolic Diet for powerlifters. I'm 258 now.
Basically stay under 30 grams of carbs per day with protein at about 30% and fat at about 60% of calories. 5 days low carb, 2 days carb up.
So I eat about 4000 calories per day, 300-400 grams of protein and 280-380 a day of fat. I lost about 10-13 lbs this month, but I have not lost any bodyfat percentage at all. I'm exactly the same as I was on day one bodyfat % wise.

I hit the gym twice in the last two weeks because of a ton of overtime. So I'm not over exercising. Where am I going wrong? Why am I not losing bodyfat and burning up my muscle.
