Whats the best way of doing it? I got a coupon from a local store i go to for a free measurement, usually $10, and he did two things. First i stood on a scale, it was a pretty high tech one not some $20 walmart bf scale. He said it shot some signal through my body. He also said even though his is a great scale it might not be accurate because of water retention and other things. So he also pulled out the caliper and did 3 measurements, my arm, stomach, and somewhere else lol i can't remember (it was a week ago). This resulted in an estimate of 16% opposed to the scale saying 18%.
I see tons of people posting here with results like 12.8% or 8.5%, and i just want to know how some of you get such good exact measurements, thanks!

you did a 3 site test. corn is saying a 5 or 7 site test is more accurate.

having half or decimal percentages just means that someone looked at a chart and it said 8.3 or 12.2 for the sum of their skinfolds. its not that its exact...it just reading a chart. the charts dont go in whole numbers for percentages, just age and mm in folds. usually by 5's up the side.

Bro those scale measuring devices are not accurate for bodybuilders and athletes. Calipers are fairly accurate. Here is a website you can put in your caliper readings and it will tell you your bf.
