Actually, they are a class III scheduled substance. And, I said depending on the legality...... no, I will not jepordize my lisence. I intend on, and already have been, enlightening colleagues concerning the myths and inaccuracies regarding AAS. Medical professionals have been misinformed and all I do is present the studies which have been done and by the time I finish, they agree with me because the evidence is contrary to their previous beliefs. They cannot scoff at legitimate studies bro. I won't be some renegade doc, but I will lobby for their decriminalization, not legalization. When you look at the facts, there is no difference between cosmetic surgery and 6-8 weeks of AAS. I recently gave a presentation to the endocrinology department at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth with remarkable success.
I'm currently enrolling for two different AAS studies, one in conjunction with organon, looking at the improvements in bone mineral density and quality of life factors. If you can show risks outweight benefits at reasonable doses, I will make progress with my ultimate goal.
Will I ever be able to give 1 g/week to a patient? No. But I will guarantee you if any of my patients have even low normal test levels, they'll get replacement to high normal from me, and legally. Hopefully by the end of my career, I'll be legally giving 8 weeks cycles at 600 mg test/week. Even if I can't fully prescribe a cycle, I can still be someone who will provide monitoring, bloodwork, and advice.
Don't be so negative bro. I realize I'm only one person, but I'm already getting support from physicians and I'm only in my last year of med school.
