HOTEACHER!!! 1st LIGHTWEIGHT & OVERALL!!!!!

We had a great time this weekend at the competition and can't thank everyone enough for all the support! We had a almost 25 people there to scream for her during the prejudging. Then we had an entire row, 13 seats filled for the night show! The announcer said that we were the loudest fans in the history of their show! We only got P to laugh once though. (I made a pizza comment during the finals)

The morning of the show, she felt pretty good. She had done the water deplete and potassium load the same as she did for the KY show. She was drying out, but was still kind of flat. She did the Friday weigh in, and was 109, a tad lighter than we had expected. We both decided Sat morning that were gonna vary from the plan and add simple carbs throughout the day. She was fuller by the prejudging, but not nearly as full as the night show. Which was ok, because she did vary well with her 1/4 turns and mandatories. Chuck Sanow was calling the poses, and he switched it up a bit, she was ready though! All in all, her conditioning and posing, (thanks Anita) rocked the stage. She started in the center, and they moved no one next to her. So we were sure she had it.

So the crew left for the day and hit a local bar to get primed to scream for the night show. P and I went to the hotel to rest and practice posing. By 4 or 5pm, she was getting full and dry. Her body had more striations than ever, while being full. She was confident and ready!

By the time she finished her routine and was awarded her 1st place trophy, many of us had sore throats from yelling! I was really pissed at where they had the line ups in relation to the lighting. All the competitors were dull and showed less definition. So I ran back to the pump room to tell P to stand a few feet in front, and to come all the way to the edge of the stage for the posedown. The light was much better up there. I also told her that the girl that she was against in the posedown was much larger than her. Her legs also were huge, so P had to win with her hardness and had to show it right next to her. Right when the music started P went to the edge of the stage and her competition followed. They almost went pose for pose, and P squashed her. We were all worried, but P showed her who was boss. She blew her away in the back double bi, side chest, and side tri. Then P got up on her toes backwards with her arms overhead. Her definition was amazing. The music stopped and without hesitation the announcer said, "We all know the winner already"! It was so cool and when I get the video, you will hear how loud it was at that moment.

So all in all, it was a great experience for all. Today is P's birthday, and as an added bonus she gets to tell her kids of her victory!

I posted the pics I have and some from a friend. Due to the crappy lighting and no tripod, they are not too good. I will hopefully get some better ones soon. For now, check out... http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/hotea.../pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/hoteacher_p/my_photos
