I know I posted this in the diet discussion board, but I am just so amazed by how stupid this lady is. I guess a BS in nutrition from the local shitty community college means alot. Anyways, I just want some of your opinions.

Frackal, i think you should keep your protein intake to around 40 grams a day. 50 tops! you really have to watch your kidneys...these fucking retarded people. I am so thankful I have good places like here and meso to learn, instead of taking advice from complete idiots who think they know their shit cause of a degree and the fact they are a stand in for the super ab-toner-super-blasto-gizzo on the 3am infomercial.
 
LOL, typical government taught dietician propaganda.

i had a nutrition prof in a few years ago who told us to eat high carb and very low protein. you have to remember they are taught with government controlled text books and have not seen the real life research done by numerous universities which show the typical bodybuilding diet, low carb diets(if used properly by those who really need them and can handle them) and even the zone type diets are far superior to that which they advocate. its up to all of us to re-educate the world on this.
 
most nutritionists don't know shit. hmmm they do know a good diet for lazy ass individuals that don't workout. its funny when these people feel that athletes and lazy individuals should have practically the same diet. like frakal said, FUCKIN PATHETIC!!!

p.s. RDA for protein .8 grams per 2.2 pounds bodyweight. HAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God i remember these courses and glad i dropped out of college.

don't let it bother you so much hun. shit same thing used to happen to me when i would bring up all these points in college to my professors. those classes were so easy and basic, aced them. but didnt teach in what i believe. u know, as in things that actually work.

I have yet to see a nutritionist who appears to have under 20% b/f, or even looks fit.
These people are wacko.
I seriously doubt that if I weigh 110lbs, and get about 125g pro daily, that I will do myself harm.
Who wrote the books for these people???

One of my coworkers saw a nutritionist similar to that idiot. My coworker is 27, 5'2, 195. The idiot told her to try to eat a 2000 cal diet-- lots of bread, little meat. She said it would make the pounds just melt off.
 
Even in this personal trainer course I have taken, it has some b.s. ratios.....I just agreed so I could pass...........

It says:::
1. 12%-15% total cal from protein a day
Recommended Diet:
Fat 30%
Pro 12%
Carbs 58%

More fat than protein???? LOL....

That diet is probably what got that lady to almost 200lbs!

Why don't you just post some articles disproving her theory that hard training athletes do not need more protein than a sedentary individual?

While we're at it, all of us in the tri-state area should write Time Out New York and blast them over the food bar reviews in last week's "annual fitness issue." In a review of the Pure Protein bar, they said "keep in mind that five ounces of chicken breast generally provides the daily protein one needs." No qualifiers, no differentiation between the needs of a 95 pound couch potato and a serious athlete, just a blanket statement.

This crap was apparently written by "nutritionist Joy Bauer, author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Eating Smart. Well, they got the "complete idiot" part right.

Another fucking expert who has book smarts but probably keeps it at that blindly. Kinda like a socialist trying to be a tycoon.

Poink I bet she wont be with that football team in about a years time once they start losing games.BTW what the fuck is she giving training advice (ie no squats) if she is a nutritionist.

You should forward her nutrition speel to people like Berardi or Serrano who study this shit, those type of people.

And for the training advice she gives for strength training you should forward her advice to Ian King, Poliquin, Louie Simmons, Paul Chek or the Dave tates of the world.
I am sure they would love to learn from her vast knowlegde on why squats are bad for athletes.

Like I said the team may not be allowed to squat, but I would bet they will still eat and injest whjatever the fuck they want.

Then again when they start getting thier asses whipped I am sure she will be still in the good books at the university.

I do agree with her about the fad diets(not being able to be on them forever) and the balnced diet part. Sadly though even her version of balanced is not even balanced.

Most atletes who have medical problems due to nutrition or supplements 99% of the time are due to outside factors unreleted to the eating or supplements such as....
1- Lifestyle. example if I took creatine played hard on the field and in the gym all day, then went out t partying all the time without ingesting ample amount of water well you know

2.Abusing certain legal and illegal supplements and not metnionng this to the doctors

3. Underlying conditions ie diabetes, kidney probs etc
Thats what pisses me off when a supplement etc is blamed in some medical condition by the media they dont look at underlying factors. Like some kid has a heart attack from eca. So eca is bad, but they forget to mention dipshit took 10 times the dose slong with exctacy.

It is a good board (besides the nutrition part) because I am really involved in brazilian jiu jitsu. However, arguing with deb is rather annoying but yet amusing at the same time :D
 
Well keep this in mind. Have you ever met a healthy looking nutritionist? The only ones I ever see are about 90 pounds and skin on bones. I think they are all to terrified to eat!
 
And they wonder why the news is filled with articles about the general fattening of America. I am joining-just for the sheer purpose of dissing an ignorant beeyaach who hasn't a fucking clue what a real workout and diet is made of. And I'm promoting da juice for strength/wt. gain at every opportunity untill I get banned...:fro:
