high blood pressure?

joe d

High End Bro
Platinum
i am a few days in on my test prop/ winny cycle
i have had a headache most of the time the past couple of days. i went to the drug store to check my blood presure and is 151/83. according to the machine this is high. what if anything should i do? there is one thing i dont know if this will effect things but the machine says to put your upper arm in but not to force it if it is to large. it says it could cause injury. i could not get my upper arm in and it was pretty tight on my forarm. could this have altered the results?

in case any of this matters

i am using:
test prop 150mg eod
winny 65mg (drink) ed
.5mg adex eod
dermacrine ed
cycle support ed

i also have letrozole and nolvadex but i need to save the nolva for pct

Without a doubt. Most if not all bodybuilders will not fit into a standard, drug-store cuff... this will almost always give a falsely high reading... unless you check with an XL cuff or wrist monitor this wouldn't be accurate...

when i was on my bp was 180 over 100. my bp was always high when off. Got meds from my DR. and now its 130 over 78. Those drugstore machines read high. Just call your Dr and tell them you want your bp checked.

you where right on the money. i was looking into that earlier and went and bought a wrist monitor. bp is normal just a bad headache i finally cured with 5 asprin lol

I dunno ....those machines seem pretty acurate to me. I've checked my bp on them and they heavn't failed yet. Your BP is just high that's all and I would def fix it if I were you

I just got tested as well, 157 over 110. (Test/tren cycle) But I do think the machine was abit inaccurate. That's what they told me, but I have to do those tests once or twice a week, just to be safe.

just go to the pharmacy and buy one of those really good electronic wrist ones. I spent the money and it was well worth it. my doc was happy cause she likes them over human which can have a margain for error. they are small and can travel. that way you can monitor your BP any time any where. Always take it 3 times. to get a good feel for your BP. as most educated BP people know it can fluctuate as much as 30 points in just a few seconds. If i just sit down, i might get 145/84, then 10 seconds later i'll get 139/72 then another ten seconds of rest will be something like 138/72. meaning because i was in a hurry and just sat down that the first reading was bunk.
a real good unit costs between $40-60 as far as I can remember. But hey, its your goddamn blood pressure man.

Blood pressure cuff size is essential. Too small a cuff can give a falsely elevated BP and conversely, too large a cuff can give a falsely lowered BP. The length of the BP cuff bladder should be 80 percent, and the width at least 40 percent (and some use 46 percent), of the circumference of the upper arm. Basically, that works out to:
Arm circumference 22 to 26 cm, 'small adult' cuff, 12 x 22 cm
Arm circumference 27 to 34 cm, 'adult' cuff, 16 x 30 cm
Arm circumference 35 to 44 cm, 'large adult' cuff, 16 x 36 cm
Arm circumference 45 to 52 cm, 'adult thigh' cuff, 16 x 42 cm

High blood pressure is high blood pressure. It can definitely be elevated when on AAS, but if it's persistently elevated, you want that looked at seriously.

yes, high BP can do a lot of damage.
a little known fact is anti-inflammatory meds can also raise BP when taken for long periods of time.

best way to drop your BP? lose bodyfat.

Same here. Bought mine on drugstore.com. Finally have some readings I can have faith in.

Have to say though .... any powerful stack is going to raise the blood pressure. I'm on primo now which is really mild and my bp is up 10-15 points.

123/89 as I sit here.

Lol.

I gave up on using the store machines. I am not huge or a body builder by any means. I am only 100 lbs and have an upper arm that is the size of an average teenager (heehee) and them dang machines always give me a higher reading than what I am. I have always ran extremely low, roughly like 60/90 or so. When I go to them machines it tells me that I am close to normal. It is silly.

I always tell people to pay no never mind to those machines. The only true method is to have it done by the old pump cuff and not the newer electronic cuffs!

electronic cuffs are fairly accurate in most cases if the right size cuff is used, the most dificult cases are women who have a large/fat upper arm( the problem is that a standard adult cuff is not long enough to inflate it enough, yet a size larger to an adult large is very wide and does not position correctly on the arm. sometimes people with an abnormal heart rhythm have variances with an elecronic cuff.
