we talked about the great apes in my anthropology class, which was also the worst class ive taken in my life. a gorillas limb bones are thicker than baseball bats, and their centers of gravity are much farther back than a humans. that way, they could punch a hole clean through your chest if one were so inclined. bottom line, i wouldnt want to fuck with a gorilla...or a lemur either...they throw their shit at you.

Naw, the only thing I think could take one is something poisonous. Don't forget those big apes have fangs, and I think baboons kill moderate size cats all the time so imagine what a big ape would do.

No man could stand up to a big ape. A chimp can kill a man. Take the claws out of a tiger and you have a chance, take the nails(like they use them anyway) off a big ape and you are still dead. It can bear hug ya, punch ya, throw ya, bite ya, choke ya, rip arms of ya. Most other animals can only bite and claw.

I remember seein chimps on discovery and the man said they are 7-10 times as strong as an average man and that was a skinny ass chimp. It has to do with leverage and tendons(especially in the shoulder), not muscle. I would imagine the big apes are 20 times stronger than an average man.
