I noticed some pain a few days back, since then this thing has grown from the size of a pencil eraser to the size of a grape, it is external and hurts like hell Any suggestions besides Preperation-H?

You could have your Dr. call you in some prescription suppositories. Also, sit in a tub of hot water(hot as you can stand it) along w/ alot of epsom salt. It should shrink over time. You could also go in to your Dr. and have them lance it. Sounds horrible I'm sure but it isn't that bad. I had one done though I didn't know waht he was doing. I didn't feel a thing. He showed me a clump of dried blood he pulled out. He then sent me home to do what I originally said above. I had this done about 18 yrs. ago when I was 19. Since then, more fiber in my diet has helped. But more than anything I believe drinking alot of water everyday has really helped.

The thought of another man squeezing my asshole scares me, I think I will do a self lancing tonight after a warm bath a few percocets and a few shots of gin, then rub oragel on the knot, maybe it won't hurt to bad

I'm not very well read in male anatomy... but isn't the butt hole close to the scrotum?

Ok, for future reference never jab a 18 ga needle into your asshole while under the influence of perscrption and illegal drugs and alchol while attempting self surgery, its a ugly bloody mess, good night..

If you have a thrombosed hemorrhoid, it should be incised and the clot removed. You will get instant pain relief.

Never attempt this yourself. If you do not have a thrombosed hemorrhoid, or if you incise it in the wrong location, you could exsanguinate (literally bleed out until you die). Hemorrhoids can bleed profusely, even as much as requiring blood transfusions.

Also, an advantage to having a physician do your dirty work, is that the physician has lidocaine to numb up the area.

Self-care of your hemorrhoids with an 18 g needle may pre-dispose you to infection. You do not want a perirectal abscess.

You should seriously considering seeing a physician about your hemorrhoids, as well as seeing a psychiatrist for attempting to do this yourself!

Not up my ass, it was external, I went to the ER and The Dr. did exacty what I did, he numbed it with a topical creme stabbed it with a 18 ga. needle, I was just too much of a wuss to squeeze out a big nasty blood clot like he did It hurt like a mofo but feels 10x better now....

Yes, lidocaine is key.

I'm surprised he used an 18 g needle. I usually incise them. A puncture usually isn't enough.
