hey im 17 5'9''... i used to be 205lbs 34% bf (when i just started to diet 3 months ago?)

now im 16.5% bf and 180 lbs

i would like to find out more information on bulking once im done trimming down...how much lower in bf should i go till i should start bulking?

besides you guys posts....is there any sites on how to effectivly and properly bulk?

any pointers for me? is the 'clean 'bulking' better?

thanks in advance

So called "clean" bulking will usually result in the least amount of body fat gain during the bulk - although that's not always true for everyone.

One way is to ease into the bulk - such that you increase calories relatively slowly - such as not to shock your body too badly. You can begin by increasing total daily calories by 500 or so - and eat that way for two weeks. Then bump total daily calories again, until you've reached your determined maximum. Keep an eye on how much weight you're gaining each week (w/o gear you can gain around 1.5lb - 2lbs/week without worrying too much about unnecessary fat gain).

Clean bulking isn't as fun as eating everything in sight - but if you do competitions - then fun isn't what you're looking for anyway.

16.5 is still pretty chubby, no offense. I know its hard to keep dieting when the scale is telling you that you are getting really light. Dont let you manhood get attached to a number, I know I used to feel that way about 200lbs, never wanted to get below it, because I was 'big.' I cut all the way down to 168 from 220 before I started trying to bulk again.

I would definitely recommend a clean bulk when you do, because you dont just want to add back on the fat you lost, which will be your body's choice since you have a bunch of recently emptied fat cells. It does take a bit longer to bulk up eatting clean, and you will spend a lot more on food too. But in the end, the result is better and you are not forced to go right back into a cutting mode after your bulk. I am now back up to 220 and look 1000% better than I did before, but it was a journey to say the least.

thanks. i know i wasnt going to stop at 16% or anything i was just woundering

but what percentage should i stop at?

i know my journey to a bigger better body isnt going to be a fast one, but still want to plan ahead so i can do it properly.
