Help - not dropping bodyfat

Hi FG27! :wavey:
just wanted to welcome ya' & congrats on your 45lb loss! :)

and to say adding the fats really makes a big diff in fat loss- the oils go nicely on chicken, tuna, egg whites, sweet pots, veggies... 1-2 T/day depending on other fats you may eat (natural pb, nuts, etc..)

When I lived in Daytona, trained at Phoenix Gym & East Coast Gym... East Coast has closed now, but lots of pros (BB & wrestlers) & competitors train at Phoenix on Seabreeze Ave near the beach... ever train there? Lots of motivation to train beside people who are so serious about it... they're open everyday- holidays too. Really miss it since I moved a few months ago. It's a short drive from where you are in PC.

Love your leg training! :D

I forgot to ask 2 other questions - sorry!

What about raisins? Are they ok to eat when cutting? I know they have a lot of calories and a lot of natual sugar (130 calories for 1/4 cup serving, forgot how much sugar).

Should I be taking more yohimbe than 800mg per day? They come in 400mg capsules and I take 2.

Thanks again!

have to be careful with any dehydrated fruit in general(my pitas have a few pieces in it, but maybe 5 max (raisins and small chunks of apples)and they are very good... hope you find something similar)

but a bit once in a while wont hurt... i heard that they're great for energy, so maybe before your weights?... :)

i'm no expert on the yohimbe... i'll let someone else cut in for that one

I've been wanting to take a cycle of some type of steriod for some time now. I don't know a whole lot about DNP. What is it? I know about winny, sust250, anavar (really would like this, but too expensive and too hard to get), test, and primo.

If you could give me some info on DNP, I might give it a try. If it's too expensive, I wouldn't be able to do it. I'm in the process of building a house right now in Palm Coast and that's taking all my money right now!

Before you consider DNP, spend some time reading on it - its a method of burning carbs, not an AS. Search on DNP. Not your typical fat loss supplement....

Welcome Flagirl,

Congratulations on your progress so far. I agree that you need more Omega 3 fats in your diet, and your overall calories do seem on the low side. One important question - is the oatmeal you eat the slow-cook kind or the microwave kind? The microwave kind is full of sugar and other junk.

I'd also recommend trying a lower rep range than 10-15. I used to only do high reps because I was afraid of getting big (ha ha) if I lifted heavier weights for lower reps. Amazingly, the heavier weights made me harder and tighter. Yes, I did add muscle, but that's what made it easier for me to burn fat.

I alternate between heavy workouts one week for a particular body part and lighter workouts the next. I do 4 days of weights, followed by 30-45 min of cardio. Cardio is usually high intensity interval training. Every now and then I'll do some long slow cardio to mix things up.

By the way, are you taking any type of hormonal birth control? If so, this could be stalling your progress. A number of people have reported similar experiences, including myself, but not everyone.

OOOps Phem, read over that part............lol. Yes, too much oatmeal. I eat about 1/2 cup morn and I add artificial sweetner, cinnamon, and a few raisens...........yummy.

I read a couple of articles on DNP and am now very interested in it!!! How much does it cost and how do I get it?! I've still got more research to do on it, but so far all the articles seem the same - it makes you hot and be careful with the dosage cause it can kill you. I read Dan Duchaine's article and also an article on roid.com. If you have any other articles worth my time reading, please give them to me!

No, I don't take any birth control pills. Quit taking those about 2 years ago. I've tried every ECA stack available and am trying Thermo Cuts with Yohimbe now. I've noticed a little bit of a differnce, but not a whole lot. I'm still the same bodyfat percentage, but with all of your advice I'm going to add more EFA's and a few more calories to my diet (more protein?) and see what happens! Maybe I'll get a hold of some DNP and give that a try too!!!

variety is the spice of life, protein intake is probably realitively good, but vary it up a bit... get some different foods in there...

up the cals a bit (approx. 300ish, adding another meal in the afternoon would probably be a good move), give it about 4-6 weeks before you actually judge if its made a difference, but your body will probably respond well... i know that its a strange leap of faith move, but when you give your body the fuel it needs to support the activity that you do its more likely to co-operate with you... it may feel like a lot initally (and i still feel like i'm eating WAY too much food) but i'm seeing great results, that i just keep forcing myself to eat... now i find that if i don't get something every 2-3 hours i can really feel a difference in attitude and energy... (i get almost lethargic if i go too long without food... i realize that my body is operating at its peak with this 'feeding schedule' :) )

good luck!

Welcome:) As said several times you need more real food in your diet. As well as some good fats.....Looks like you got a good start on it...keep it up and keep readin!!!
