Personally, I would get a Lazzaroni custom .308 for this purpose. I got their standard .308 last year, their "War Bird" model, and it rocks. The only problem is the price of the ammo. The War Bird ammo goes for about $110 per box. It will only fire War Bird rounds. You can not substitute any other .308 round in it. It is really worth it as far as accuracy and distance goes. The bullit is traveling over 4000fps when it leaves the barrel. Check out lazzaroni.com for more specifics on the rifle.
