i know this may be the wrong board but ive been using it a while now and so i recognize and trust you guys opinions.
I live in the uk (london) and was wondering if any other uk members could recommend a good source for buying protein powder. at present its costing me a fortune as i only seem to be able to buy in 5lb tubs.
any suggestions anyone?

I used to get my protein and egg powder from them at good prices in 5Kg tubs. I tried their website a few days ago and got nothing. I just tried it now and it leads to an Ebay shop with most of their usual product lineup. I don't know whether they've been bought out or what.

I also shop at gymratz but not for protein.

ive ordered some chocalate flavouring to go with it but was thinking mybe you could just add some cocoa powder or similar. i dont mind if its bland or tasteless but if it tastes like shit i'll have to add something. also adding a banana should make it palatable but i'll have to see.

I usually go for the "Poor Man's protein" myself! I buy the unsweetened powder from a friend at the gym. Its more to help him out financially than anything else as he's a good guy but always short of a few quid. I have now decided that expensive powder isn't worth it. Powder is only meant as a supplement anyhow and there's loads of protein in the one I use and it costs fuck all. That'll do. I mean, I laugh when I read "Jay Cutler uses Celltech for maximum results" My Arse - Jay drinks six pints of Winnie in the Pub every Friday night with his mates more like!

Agreed with RR. I just get bog-standard 90% whey in 5Kg tubs. I mix it with egg-powder for flavour and I'm good to go.

Very high quality, instantly mixing, good tasting (no taste really on the unflavoured) and cheap. I used to use whey consortium, but aviforms powder is so much better.
