HCG- Why am I so tired?

I recently started HCG for low testosterone and fertility reasons. Both are barely within the normal ranges. The first week the doctor injected me with 2500 IU's. The effect seemed to be similar to a weak shot of test. The second week he asked me if there were any side effects and saying no, he upped me to 5000 IU's. Unfortunately he is against Clomid or Nolvadex. Anyway, I've been very tired this week (much more than usual) and having the urge to lay down and take a nap at all times. Sex drive is actually below normal for me too.

What would cause all this? My estrogen is skyrocketing or something specific to HCG? I have been feeling the fatigue within 24 hours of the second shot. Would appreciate any advice, guesses etc.

That's the problem with HCG - your estrogen is going to spike. This is why I always take aromasin with HCG. It will keep your E2 in check without sacrificing your joints or libido. However, I doubt your doc will prescribe you aromasin.

Also, whenever your hormones are fluctuating you're going to be tired. Think about when you were an early teen and wanted to sleep all day.
