Having a hard time getting 4000 cals a day

Hi i am in the process of bulking and i hear i need about 4000 clean calories a day. I have a hard time finding the right things to eat. How many meals a day do i need to eat? Can it be 3 big meals. What about eating late, good or bad? If anybody can post their 4000 calorie diet i would really appreciate it. thanks

In my opinion it should be split up into atleast 6 meals a day. My diet got real screwed up lately, but to get to 4000 a day I was eating protein shakes, olive oil, ground beef (lots of ground beef), ground turkey, oatmeal post workout, chicken, tuna, veggies etc. . Buy everything in bulk and cook it ahead of time. I do not know about you, but to get to 4000 I had to force feed myself, the only way I could do it was to eat every 2 or 2 and 1/2 hours hungry or not. If nothing else you should make sure you are getting a good amount of protein every three hours.

The olive oil really helps get the cals up, if you can stomach it you might want to include 3 or 4 tablespoons a day, that will add 400 or so "easy' cals to your diet.

Force feedign yourself to eat 4000 cals...LOL

Shit, if I "force-fed" myself, I bet I could put down 7500 to 10000+ a day

B Fold knows whats up, I'm sure he could do the same

i laughed when i saw "its hard to get 4000cals" what are you eating green veggies and chicken?? come on 4000 is easy
chicken, beef, eggs, PENUT BUTTER, oatmeal, sweet potatoes thats pretty much all i eat aside from veggies. a jar of penut butter is well over 4000cals :) its probally easier to have like 8meals then 3 1300cal meals, not to mention the anabolic adjantages of having protien in your body at all times.

Eating as I do, I feel like I am force feeding myself at 4000 cals. If I added some more crap food I could get to 7000 or 8000 easy. Last day I went over 4000 cals I ate

One pound of ground beef
5 large eggs
4 tablespoons of olive oil
One whey shake
two casinate shakes
4 tablespoons of natty peanut butter
2 large chicken breasts
1 cup oatmeal
5 cups of raw spinach

totals

to me that is a lot of food, but I guess I am just a wuss eater :).

overhead - are you ketogenic? Why fat rather than clean carbs?

Stupid newb question - can you look ripped (Ie - have that 6/8pack) and eat 4000 a day if you cardio?

It was a non-workout day, Ikeep my carbs pretty low on those days. Work-out days I focus my carbs within two hours after the workout. Usually they fall in the 100-200 range. I see no purpose in eating a bunch of carbs other times, after my muscle glycogen is refilled and I get a little insulin spike post workout I just cannot see any purpose in eating a bunch of carbs. But there are many that disagree with me. Eating like this I may be slightly keto, but not most of the time. Also, I gain fat easily, so I have to watch my carb intake.
