I just did this short video to show you why you'll need a new graphic card...

The whole interface is translucent, using shaders to display the desktop... this technology was only found in games... now it's day to day.

The switching between windows in 3D is called, yep. flip3d... it's the equivalent of ALT-TAB in the current windows.

You need Apple QuickTime to watch the movie, if you have Itunes, you already have QuickTime...

Windows Vista Aero Interface Video. FLIP3D

This is a 9Mb vid, if you have Dialup, it sucks to be you

pretty cool looking.

You won't necessarily need a new graphics card to use Vista, You can turn off Aero Glass and have it look normal

I'd rather continue to use XP... I have it on a second partition. Everything is slower, wtf.

If I had quicktime I'm sure I would feel the same

Actually, I don't have quicktime, I have the codec pack from Kazaa lite... I'd never install an Apple app in my sacro-sanctum PC

I have it running on a 2nd partition as well.

I got the ballz machine to run it though... it runs great.

Right now - two issues:
1. Games don't run well under it, DirectX support issue I imagine (I am not a gamer so no biggie).

2. ActiveSync cannot be installed on that OS, because it's 'supposed' to get a product called Windows Mobile Device Manager from the Internets - but doesn't.

Thats what stopping me from running it full time.

Now... Pinacolada - can you delete this post so no one knows I no anything 'bout the Internets?
