Hairy Back

There is this guy at my gym who appears to have a crush on me. He seems very shy, but appears to have made an extraspecial effort to get my attention. I find him quite physically attractive except for one thing - he has a majorly hairy back.

I know this sounds superficial...but the back...the back... The whole idea just makes me shudder. I imagine the ladies on here may have been in a similar situation. What is your advice? Should I sleep with him anyway? Should I drop broad hints about waxing? Should I just ignore him? What should I do?

Hans, before making such a personal suggestion to him, go out with him a few times and see if you two really hit it off. Get a feel for his personality and then decide if you can flat out suggest that he tame that back of his or if you'll need to take a more gentle approach.

You could get him a gift certificate to the local waxing place, or giftwrap a bottle of hair remover or razor and shaving cream (with a nice fluffy towel and bottle of wine in anticipation of a night of fun together) and do his back for him. Good luck!

If ya went out with him he would probably be more than willing to let you shave his back. He more than likely wants it gone anyways but just doesn't have someone to do it for him. I have a hairy back but you would never know it cuz my wife shaves it for me.

But she hates a hairy back ...I just have a little and we shave it while in the shower every now and then.

Well I wasn't planning on anything as big as a relationship.

In any case I suspect this guy is a closet case, so I doubt a relationship would be practical in any case.

So much advice

There are lots of ways of dropping hints, but so many people are quite dense about these things - particularly men. If the guy hasn't been astute enough by now to notice that most people detest hairy backs, I doubt he's going to notice the hints.

I think I will give this one a miss. If he's going to keep being friendly, I shall reciprocate, but I am not going to inflict on myself the crops of thick black hair spreading across his back. I am not that desperate. *shudder* Yes, I am that superficial!

Actually I don't shave. I'm not a fan of shaved bodies. I am blond so my body hair is not pronounced. I have nothing against hair on arms, chest, etc. In fact it is quite appealing. But dark black hair growing in manes on a guy's back is just gross! He doesn't just have wisps of the stuff. It covers his shoulder blades and goes most of the way down his back. Yuk yuk yuk!

I am not THAT attracted to the guy. Too much effort methinks.
