6 ft 1 , 150 pounds...i'd like to gain about 50-60 pounds in the next few years.. of muscle of course.. should add that i just turned 17 and im still growing a lot (2 inches in the last 3-4 months actually, confirmed by doctor). This pic isnt all that recent either.

LOL@winnyfan, you are way too funny. i basically do what the roadblock said, eat everything and go heavy, im 17 aswell but the doc hasnt checked to see if im growing yet

at 17, I was about 160-170 lbs 6'2". Also a hardgainer.

My advice:

Eat big. It's the hardest part of building your body and in my opinion, the most important. Eat 6 times a day!! It sucks but you have to do it. With my schedule, I have to drink 3 Myoplex MRPs a day in addition to 3 healthy meals. You look a little predisposed to some fat, so cut out ALL soda, chips, french fries, candy, etc.

Training. Start with compound movements, only 3-4 sets per exercise and only 2-3 exercises per bodypart. Squats, bench, military press, deadlift, rows, etc. It's better to start off doing to little than to much. There are a lot of beginner or hardgainer routines on the net. Just find one you like and post it here for review.

REST. Often overlooked. REST REST REST. You grow when you're resting, not at the gym. Sleep is the most important thing and it's when you grow the most.

Training Log. Should be as necessary as eating. Keep a log of your routines and make notes in the margins. Training logs are personal and no one can tell you how to keep one. You have to get your own style.

I'm still 6'2" but I'm up to 198lbs. Took me 3 years to get here from 170, but you can throw 2 knee surgeries and a dislocated ankle into that. I was stuck in a plateau recently and thought I couldn't gain anything more. I reviewed my eating, lifting, and resting patterns and found places to improve. I credit a lot of that to my training log. Since my overhaul, I've gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks and my strength goes up every week now.

By the way. Results are never fast enough. You'll get discouraged. But by the time you're a sophmore in college, you'll looked pretty jacked up. BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE DEDICATED!!!!!!

Hey, i was also 6'1 150 when i started (1 year ago). I went up to 170 in 6months not even having a good routine or diet (same bf, lot of water). Im 155 now cutting *lol* I had to see if i had any muscle b4 i could continue bulk. hmm whats my point... just lift heavy and get yourself a good diet. Diet is everything! And you are 17 you could probably do alot better then me.

Good luck.

I was 6'1" 155 four years ago. Now I'm tipping the scales at 218... Keep bustin ass in the gym, eating everything in sight, and sleeping good. It will come.

something else that is pissing me off is that my nipples are sorta puffy and saggy and im skinny!!!! I hope that crap goes away when im done growing cuz it really bothers me and when i wear like a tight shirt it shows. I dont think i got gyno but if i do its from puberty definetly cuz i never touched any supplement or steroid for that matter.

Get the calories up. Keep adding 500 calories every week until you start gaining about .5 - 1 lb/week. And start eating 6 times a day --religiously! I mean, get an f'ing alarm clock or watch and make sure you're getting eating every 3 hours. All you need is food and lots of it.

After you get that accomplished then focus on your training. But you can you be doing the best workouts in the world and it's not going to mean jack shit if you're not getting enough calories.

6 foot 137 pounds when I was your age. You'll fill out a little with time, but.......I worked out with a personal trainer and everything, did it all by the book and still only got to 152 until Deca/Dbol. I was able to put on 20 solid pounds in 6 weeks and my bodyfat stayed pretty close to the same. just a thought.

Glad to see you aren't gonna jump the gun and cycle right off.

When I was your age, I was 6'1, and 120 lbs. Yep... 120. Kinda sick, huh?

I looked like a fuckin' pencil.

I didn't hit the sauce until I was 21. It was hard to be patient.

Eat like a mother, and train intelligently. Sounds like you're on the right path.

that pic isnt that recent.. i can honestly say my chest is a lot bigger and my arms... my chest is growing faster then anything.. so are my shoulders.. but i think im broadening anyway and my hips are going away like my sides are filling out. My quads are really big for a skinny kid also.
