Had a crazy day and can't sleep

It's 3 hrs past my bedtime, but I am so worked up and my heart is racing. Had a crazy day! Client freaking out calling and txting me 300 times, full client day, I resigned from the shelter I worked at, dealt with angry vets and shelter dealt with angry me!
My doorbell rang 30 times, missed a delivery and I didn't eat supper.
Worse part, my boyfriend accused me of cheating because I could not answer his call and txt right away.

Breathing actually does work, melatonin too.
Most people cannot sleep because of personel anxiety and life issues like having to wake up unnaturally early for work.
Just relying on drugs like ambien seems more like a short term fix to me.
