A great snack or breakfast/brunch meal:
Instead of a bun or slices of bread I like to minimize the bread by thinly slicing my own baguette. Sometimes I leave the meal open faced to cut the bread carbs in half~
what you need:
maple honey ham: buy the kind at the deli, not the prepackaged plastic containers of ham..the deli meat seems to taste better and I think it has less pressed in additives.
cheese of your preference
mustard, mayo, condiment
(lettuce if you like)
In a hot pan, put half of your sliced baguette. layer cheese, ham, and then top layer of bread. I like to put a tiny bit of butter on each side to brown it up nicely. Flip once over med-hi heat. Serve immediately. Takes less than 5 minutes.
