I was also thinking about visiting Kos at the end of July (I'm from Finland btw). What I have understood is that it can wary a lot what you can get form pharmacies in those tourist attractions. Maybe nothing but a rude 'no'. So be prepared to visit Bodrum (turkey), that's what I planned to do. No trouble there. Only a short trip by ferry.
