Got offered a trainer job at 24hour-seems like I wouldn't make much $$

They first wanted me to buy their "study guide" for 10 bucks then they want me to get a national cert. There is another 500 or so- all so I can make 18 a session when they charge 60. Seems like I wouldn't make shit for a year or so until I built up clients. Sound like a crap deal?

I'll charge them $55 per hour and give them a real training session.

Once you have a set number of clients, you can train privately for 40-50 per hour and keep all of it.

Very true, however right now I really just need something that pays decent and solid. I cannot afford ups and downs anymore. I have been working on commission in sales lately and it fluctuates too much for me. I want to concentrate on my music and to be able to do so I need something that I dont hate doing and that isn't a super hustle while still paying decent. Being a trainer is essentially a sales job. I'm not sure I have the stomach for it anymore, hustling people in sales gets old.

Oh, that is here in SD> I dont plan to move for at least 6 months- I want to do it right and save some money first. I need to buy a car as well because I had to sell mine awhile back. I am sharing a car with my girl now. Life has sucked pretty bad this year and I want to do something positive about it. 24hour says they want full timers but I am a little iffy about being able to make good money there.

Try working somewhere somewhat upscale and network from there. That way you could land something cushy while making money training.
