my thoughts are....any high school aged girl willing to date someone twice her age is probably gonna have some shit wrong upstairs. There might be one or two in a thousand who don't fit that bill, but by and large, you're all but gauranteed to be dealing with someone who has major issues in that situation(which is why I lol in retrospect at lummy's post about younger girls not having baggage). And if you know you're basically taking advantage of that, and you're cool with it....meh. I have questions about that.
better a nice loving gentleman who will take care of her than an abusive evil person who will pimp her out...

Right now looking back, it is too easy to twist a <18yo mind if she was attracted to someone in their late 20's-30's

Age difference isn't the issue. I (obviously) have no problem with age issue among ADULTS. What I find repulsive and twisted is a 36 yr old man bragging about the fact that he is banging (and having a relationship?) with a high school student (under 18) who is obviously NOT an adult. If I had a daughter (you do, so I'm sure you can relate), I would be horrified and I'd probably try to kill the man.

No issue with age difference between consenting adults. My best friend has spent the last six years dating a guy who is 22 years older than her and they are one of the sweetest, most genuine relationships I know. I also gave plunky a "good job" on his hot young wife.

I agree..I think I could date up to 48...so...lol..but I am repulsed by the idea of a man or woman in their 30's in the United States being with a 16(or 17) year old...though I'm trying my best not to judge anyone... In other countries where the age of consent is lower I can only assume that their girls are more mature?
I can't imagine any minor being raised in the United States being a match psychologically for a 36 year old and could understand when she is and isn't being manipulated by all the fucked up shit we adults do to each other when we claim we love them. I would say most of the time these types of relationships are about wanting someone to adore them and find someone easy to control.
Age is not just a number when it comes to minors..there are laws and even though it may not be morally wrong in this situation (who knows?) it is still criminal and he should be careful who she is telling. When I was that age I had no concept of tomorrow or consequence for myself..especially not someone else.

Why is it that someone who supposedly doesn't care is not only prying into my personal life, but coming to conclusions and making accusations that are based on incomplete data and a LOT of imagination? Yeah, I'd say there are some issues there.

my ex traded me in for an under 18 model (few months shy) he was 36...i found it pretty disgusting but mainly because hes known her since she was like..9...
it was the best thing he could have done for me, I lost a shitload of drama. But it was about the worst thing he could have done for himself....she had him arrested in the end for assault and I actually defended the dude because she was frankly just full of shit.
