Got a thing from the Post office to sign for a package

I have been expecting a care package (wink wink) from across the ocean and the postman left a notice on my door that I need to sign for it. It says that it is a registered package which is strange to me. What do you guys think.

Mine comes registered and i sign for it.:D

First thing to do is contact your friend and ask him what he thinks about it. This happened to me before on a domestic that had the sig. conf. waived and signed. I contacted my guy and asked him how the package was sent and he explained in great detail as to what I should look for. The package was as described and I signed for it with no problem at all. In the end it is all about what your gut feeling says to you. You have to ask yourself punk, DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?

i get registered from this one pharm (for non-AAS "illegal" stuff). came as a suprise for me. i tracked down the postman down the street and said "let me sign for that now........." :D no PO lines for me. but it happens, just go sign for it (check with the source to see if he sent registered if you can for a heads up). if he did not send registered, then tough call....might be a setup. :)

just kind of scares me,,,, dont want to take any chances,,, I mean I have other packages that,,, books and such that they leave the same thing for me to come pick it up,,,, it is a smalltime post office like 2 people working in it.....

doubtful they are going to have an agent there waiting for you all day for like a week, waiting for you to show up. and if they do, with two peeps working......if you see some new guy working there with dark glasses and a suit and a lot of cars out front. turn around. :FRlol: good luck...:D

you can waive sig on express, but not on registered. registered is the only way i have ever had to sign for anything. a good source would waive sig on express.

the mailman says it is registered

it also says that I can sign it mail it back to the Post Office and they will waive it and leave the package at the door. So what do you guys think,,,, sign it or not

A lot of sources do that to prevent reverse scamming. If you do not want to sign in the future you must make it clear to your source that you will not sign. If he won't go along with this find another source.

Simply contact your source and find out. And never underestimate the extent to which LE will go over a nickle and dime bust.

keep chilling bro.
all packages sent via 'sign for' require a signature. and if you aren't home, the postman will leave a note on your door.

its all good my man.

I know I know,,,, I am a paranoid spaz

everything was cool,,,, it is official,,, I am a spaz,,,, never hurts to be safe I guess

Don't forget that it might not be the gear at all. I went through the same thing recently: I got a notice from the P.O. just about the time I was expecting overseas gear. I freaked, and thought of just leaving it there and never signing for it. I ended up deciding to go sign for it anyway, and it turns out that it was a book a friend of mine sent me insured, so I had to sign for it. So...it might not be the gear at all.

Go ahead and pick it up.

Like someone else stated, they aren't going to have the cops hang around the PO box 24/7 just to see if you're gonna pick it up...there are other signs of problems, such as a "mailman" waiting 20 minutes at your door for someone to sign, or having 2 people deliver a package.

FYI, You can get a box at MBE and they will sign for all your packages.

If you get a large box, or at least one that your packages will fit in, They will leave it in the box for you, otherwise they will leave a notice for you and you will have to pick it up at the front counter.

At MBE you can check your box 24/7 they give you a code for after hours entry.

MBE will ask for two forms of ID to open the box, ( a drivers lic, and a collage ID will work ) .

Most overseas packages have to be signed for. I don't believe you can waive a sig on a overseas pack as you can on a domestic pack. I could be wrong on this but I've always had to sign for overseas packages, which is one of the reasons why I only order domestic.

much misinformation on this thread. airmail is like first class US postal....NO FREAKING SIG. most if not all packs are sent this way up until recently. int'l Express is like priority/overnight, sig is optional and def waivable. registered is sig required domestic OR int'l. period. thats it.

I will put myself out on the chopping block for all,,,,, I am officially a paranoid spaz. It happens when you get old,,,, lol... I guess it never hurts to be to cautious. I am learning the game as I go though.

Trust me, the signs will be obvious if you're getting a controlled delivery.

If the delivery man acts strange, you get a very early delivery, have 2 people delivering, or have a delivery person waiting at your door an excessive amount of time waiting for you to accept it. Thats why i'd rather have something delivered to my door as opposed to MBE or a po box, signs of problems are much easier to spot.

I just use a Novelty drivers lic ( not in my name ) to rent the box at Mail Boxs Ect. and I only check it at 4am in the morning if I am expecting gear. If I get a card in my box saying I have to pick it up at the desk and sign for it, I wait 3 or 4 days to pick it up, And then when I do pick it up, I arrive about 30 min before they open and watch everyone that go's into work, Its always just one chick at opening time, If she were to show up and there was anyone else going in with her, I would just leave and try again the next morning, If the same person showed up each day at opening with her, I would just write that box off as a loss and get a new one somewhere else.
You can also bribe a street bum with a cheap bottle of Vodka to pick up your package at MBE, Show him the bottle and tell him you will be about 6 bolcks west in a parking lot, wait about a half block east where you can watch the door to see if he leaves with anyone.

Another thing that works, Have you ever seen where they have several mail boxs on a rail out next to the road ? I one time just put an extra mail box on the end of the rail and put the next letter or number on it, The mailman arrived between 12:30 and 1 each day, I just waited about a half block away and watched him deliver. I used that box for almost a year.

I personaly would not ever have anything sent in my name to my home. Not gonna take any unneccessary chances here

I used to use an overseas guy, that is still around and relaible. I always had to sign for his packages. Never any problem. Scared me though

What bout Federal Express? Don't you nee dto sign for Fed Express?
also, what about having a package delivered to your home under a different name. We get several pieces of mail delivered daily with names of people whod lived there many years ago.

Do they send somethin too your house to inform you that you need to come sign for a package? Im gettin a PO box but i dont want anyone at my house to know i have one.

Can you say PARANOID!

Yes, Very PARANOID!

But I am free, and with no arrest or criminal record

I get to spend all my money on gear instead of lawyers and bail

You never know what may happen when you order gear, it may be the 1st time or the 20th time, but if they pop you just one time they will keep an eye on you from then on, and if you get popped again you will be pumping iron at the cross bar hotel for at least a year or two.

The cost of lawyers Bail, and time spent in jail and in court are worth being a little PARANOID! If you don't belive me just ask anyone that has been down that road.

A friend of mine had his Ex girl friend turn him in, He ended up spending 5K on a lawyer, Not to mention bail, court costs and time missed from work, Lucky he had no criminal history, So he just got 3 years probation, Had to go see a probation officer once a month and was drug tested all the time, And if he ever gets busted for anything again he will have to do jail time.

He has also had problems getting another job with a drug felony on his record, and when he sued a insurance company over a car wreck they brought up his felony in court, And needless to say when a jury learns you are a drug felon they no longer look at you as the clean cut all american again.

Just ask anyone that has ever been caught if they planned on getting caught, It happens because you get sloppy and over confident.

Just call me PARANOID! and Free.
