Good supplement to start?

I do not have any experience with supplements – Ionly trained all my life, and ate well, and this kind of stuff. Sonow I want to start using supplements, because I guess they are notthat bad and can help. So I need your advice about the firstsupplement to take – what is a good place to start?

If you are a person of an advanced age, I assume that you can already afford yourself to have enough proper food, so there is no real need for protein shakes in your case. You may consider using Creatine (such as Ancient Strength), or BCAA's (GEAR is a good one). Also, fish oil is a great supplement to take year round, as well as N2Guard.

There are a couple supplements that I take year round and recommend to all my clients.
1. Fish/krill oil
2. A good quality multivitamin
3. A high quality whey isolate powder
4. creatine

1. The fish oil you can buy at costco. That'll be around $25
2. Ruthless 3d from n2bm.com is $15 for a 30 day supply
3. A bag of wheytobuildmuscle from n2bm.com is $40 and will last you 2 months using 1.5 scoops per day
4. ancient strength from n2bm.com is $15 for a 30 day supply

Adding that all up, you are at $125.

Stick to the basics that are effective and proven. I would go with protein, creatine, multivitamin, fish oil.

What you don't need are the things that are marketed like crazy like pre workout drinks. Just use supplements to fill in the gaps in your nutrition.
