good sitdown restaurant

Subway. Most Chinese resaurants have quite a few healthy options. Just about all fast food joints (e.g. McDonalds', BK, etc.) have grilled chicken sandwiches nowadays. I've found that with some effort and discipline, I can find healthy options at just about any restaurant. Now whether I end up ordering them or going bonkers on the other stuff is a different story ;)...

Pretty much anywhere.....
You can always find a chicken salad with dressing on side
Or a Steak with NO tenderizer.

come to my restaurant in OC Gaucho Grill... all argentine food. BEST RED MEAT EVER.

Also, almost any restaurant can have good sources of diet food. You just have to be bold and TELL them how you want things cooked. Like, dry chicken breasts, no oil, dressings on the side, for salad stick to olive oil and vinegar, don't bring a bread basket, steamed veggies (with no butter or oil), limited salt, etc. Just make sure you always ASK how food is prepared and what they add to it.

Chinese food often has "hidden" fat - wokked in oil. Also, it is typically high in sodium, which can make you retain mass water.

Doods,
Brazillian Returants are BOMB! All they serve is Meat, servers come by with Roasts of all kinds of meat and slice it right there for you. They usually have great seafood buffets as well.

I highly recommend "Fogo-E-Brasa" in Phoenix Arizona.

Check out there website and dont forget to wipe the drool from your keyboard.. http://www.fogoebrasa.com/

AppleBees

AppleBees has some good low fat dishes that taste great. I like the whole wheat chicken quesadillas. I work in a restaurant and I'll tell ya a few things to watch out for. Ask for meats with no marinate. Find out if they are pre-marinated. Tell the server to ask and let them know it will reflect in their tip, they should be more willimg to really find out for you. Or, ask the manager on duty, probably a better idea. When eating burgers and chicken sandwiches, make sure to tell the server, you want no butter on the bun. Many places rub the rolls with a butter brush right before they put out the food. Also, request that any grilled meats be oil-free. At my job, the cooks often spray the broiler with oil so the meats don't stick as much. Also, for veggies, ask for no butter or oil. You gotta watch out for the little tricks of the trade the are supposed to "Add flavor".

Peace
