I had never had it in my life (30 years old). Got athletes foot once or twice, zapped that shit with some Micatin or whatever spray. Powdery cool.

Now, after the mud run a couple weekends ago (was standing around in wet shorts for a while) i got some "jock itch" on the inside of my right thigh. Started off small, the size of a penny, but has grown. Not on my cawk thank goodness, but it seems to be growing.

I got some Lamasil, over the counter gel, says to use once per day for a week. I've used it 5 days now and no change except there is no itching anymore.

Anyone have any experience with this, I can go to see my doctor, but its a woman and I don't feel like busting my ball sack out for her to inspect some nasty skin.

Relax, Lestat. Make the appointment with the doctor, but go back to the drug store and buy something (or several somethings) with different active ingredients (actually read the ingredients). And you're not limited to gels, you could try the sprays, too. In fact, if the rash is "wet" you might do better with spray on, even if the stuff says it's for athlete's foot.

An antifungal, if it's the right one, will give you results literally within 24 hours, so try something different today and if the rash hasn't improved, try a different product tomorrow. It won't kill you, and your penis will not fall off.

And stay out of the water! Ideally, loose clothing, keep the sweating to a minimum. Heat and wet conditions are only going to make it worse.

Of course, it could always be necrotizing fasciitis ...

I often times get athletes foot, always have. Keep micatin spray on hand for it.

If I had been cleaning my feet, touching them, then touched my balls, that could have spread it.

Other than that, it was likely from something like the mud run i did recently where i was standing around in wet shorts and underwear for a couple of hours. This provided a warm moist place for the fungus to grow. The fungus is usually kept in check by my immunue system, but if I give it a place to thrive (sweaty nuts) it can grow rapidly.

The good news is, my body will be more resistent to this fungus once its finally wiped out.
