good age to start taking steriods

dito

New member
I am 19, 6'2" 230 lbs. I will be 20 in march. I started lifting again its been 3 months. Ive been thinking about taking 1-ad or purhasing steriods. I have not done any research on steriods so I dont anything about what kinds there are. I will do research if i decide to buy them. Or should I just take creatine and maybe some ALA till I hit my genetic potential. I am a very hard gainer. I also read an article on avant labs magazine about pre/post workout meals and I will try that also. Thanks for any suggestions and help.

Too young IMO, and not just chronologically. You don't have enough "gymtime" in yet either. Get two years of solid lifting under your belt before you even think of AS.

what about pro hormones? Stay away from those too and just stick to creatine and ALA. Is there anything else I can take besides these two that will help a little bit. I also have tripple threat that I have been eating. I did lift for a year solid and then took about 6 months off before starting again. But Like you said need 2 years.

I suggest you take protein supplement and different tecnic of workout and only think about steroid when you have reach your genetic limit.

I'd not spend the $ on prohormones

before you take steroids you must:
1 - have your diet in order (become very close with nutrition)
2 - know what kind of lifting gives you the max. benefits
3 - know all about steroids, there side effects/benifits/etc
4 - after all is said is done, re-evaluate if you want to do steroids or not

that's it

Isnt 1-ad considered a steroid because it has 1 test? What do you mean type of lifting? Like high reps low weight as to heavy weight low reps? Currently I do 4 weeks heavy weight low reps. Then 2 weeks light weight high reps. So I dont get used to the same routing and I dont hit a platuau does this sound good?

You should listen these guys you need more gym time before you even consider AS. Dude you need to get your diet in order. I always thougt I was the hardest of all hard ganiner. I started putting on size when I started eating alot. If you are dead set on using prohormones 1AD is probablly your best bet.

Yeah you are right. I didnt eat like I do know last year. I should gain a lot more a lot quicker. Its just really hard when guys are next to me putting up a lot more weight and making me look like a twig boy. Ill just stick to my creatine and buy some Alpha lipoic acid. I will follow the pre post workout plan on avant labs as well as eat like I have been. I actually have taken some PH's before and they didnt really do anything for me. Towards the end of the cycle they did. Then when I stop gaining muscle then I will take 1-ad. I kind of want to stay away from AS. Ive heard about 1-ad working good. So I think I would stick with that. Hopefully it doesnt get pulled.

I thaught Id let you guys know how I am doing. Im gettting stronger and bigger already. Last week I only weighed 230. Yesterday I was at 235. I dont think I will be getting any AS. They seem like too much of a hassle for me to take. If anything it will be the legal pro hormones. I dont have time to be going to the doc every week to get blood work done. Much less sticking myself with a needle. Currently I am taking EAS phosphagen hp, triple threat 2 scoops 3 times a day. What Im doing is taking a scoop of creatine after i run in the morning. Then I have some tt 2 hours before lunch. Then I have some more 2 hours before I go to the gym. I only drink half and eat half a power bar. Then I eat the rest as soon as im done. Then more tt before bed. Except im almost out. Thinking of trying something else. Im getting tired of the taste. Any suggestions?

You're no hardgainer if you are 230 at 6'2". That is a pretty good weight for your height (unless, of course, your BF% is up there). I'd recommend focusing on your diet and protein supplements. Once you feel you've maintained a strong diet, supplement plan, workout routine for about a year or two, and notice lagging improvements that means you're beginning to reach your genetic potential. At that point, consider AS.

Still... remember your bodytype will start to change from an ectomorph to a meso-endomorph as you grow older - so gaining weight will get easier as your metabolism slows. That being said... I'd say that between 25-30 is probably a good time to consider AS.

it just depends on if you stop growing naturally or not, im turning 19 in a few weeks, then im hitting the sauce. Ive been getting bigger naturally but i havent been getting stronger so I'll use the roids to get a boost.

May I suggest a routine change instead. It is scary how flippant people are about using steriods... they AREN'T like protein supplements or creatine - that is why a majority of steriods are illegal. These things will wreck your body in the long run... short run gain, long run pain. Go check out some of the powerlifting routines before you start poking yourself with needles.

Yeah you should try the routine change first. They are right we are too young to be taking AS. Our bodies are already producing a lot of testosterone. Just eat good and lift hard. Change your routine every month.

You're still young. I've been training hard for about 4 years, and I'm all natural. I serioiusly learn something new everyday about training, diet, methods, and everything possible in a biological sense. There are many ways to attack your situation. Like everyone else said, more gymtime is the main thing, secondarily, learn more about bodybuilding. You aren't at that stage yet in which you've learned enough.
