I could care less what race, color, creed, nationality you are, what happened Tuesday affected us all.

How could anyone possibly ask questions about "will my order be delayed due to the attack?" etc...Ive seen this in many email Ive gotten. How thoughtless can you be.

Perhaps its just me but I would gladly invite all my test to be seized and have the lives of all those in NY and Washington back.

CNN ran a show tonight entitled "Should the U.S. Retaliate?" I was appaled at those who pussyfooted around saying this, that and the other about how careful we should be.

THEY DID NOT CARE about those lost to us, and for the members of other countries around the world they will not care about your wives, children, aunts, uncles etc.

War is not pretty, nor it is merciful, nor should it be. We did not start this but Ill be goddamned if we dont finish it, and if you want to call it barbaric, senseless, or unthoughtful then perhaps you can stare into the eyes of the many hundreds of children whos mommy and daddy wont be coming home tonight and tell them how careful we should all be.
Take that task on for me please.

I think some terrosrist groups should be formed in the US that have a goal of destroying life in cetain middle eastern countries. I mean we lost alot of good people and I feel they should lose alot of innocents as well. Its time to start doing what the rest of the world does to us. They for the most part fuck us. Use or money, help, suppourt and weapons. Then stab us in the back!! Americans are to soft and pussy for the most part and look at what has happened due to that. Its time we stand up as a nation and as a family and rip the rest of the world a new asshole.

Okay were not a weak people?? For one everyother nation has airport security that is better than ours. This would have never happend in isreal. They wouldve already killed lots of people if it had. The Us is to worried about what the rest of the world thinks and that is hampering are ability to do what should be done.

Im not saying all americans dont feel honor and pride in their country were just to soft on things because of political correctness and world views. This is america not the fucking UN. We should act like it. Just my views. And I love america I just feel we need to change the way we handle things.

I totally agree brutha! I would really not like to see a war as it could mean death to many innocent people but IMO we have no choice. What happend on Tuesday is Tragic and in-excusable(sp) and it must be dealt with my any means and if that means war then thats what will happen

DRQUICKS.....you really should just keep quiet rather than ruining this post with your senseless ramblings...."every nation has better airport security than us"....and your study on airport security has brought you to this conclusion?....or are you simply making an assumption because you feel airport security is to blame?...if so you really need to get your head out of your ass...the fact that they may have only been armed with knives or the fact that they were armed at all had no bearing on them taking control of the flight....if me and a few of my friends took a flight and decided we wanted to get to the cockpit who's going to stop us...weapon or not....this could happen on any flight and there is no security measure to prevent this...when you factor in the men were trained killers they could have had play-do in their hands and made it to the cockpit...the root of this problem has nothing to do with airport security and you opinion that the US is too "soft" on "political correctness and world views" really shows your intelligence regarding this situation...it's the US's very political stature and views that prompted Bin Laden to launch these attacks in the first place.

Listen, in other countries they have armed guards with uzis and assualt rifles in the airports. In isreal theyll strip search you for no reason. That is why this dosent happen there. If us had skymarshalls and some adaquit security this would have never happend. If the cockpit was more secure this would have never happened.

You say US isnt soft? Then explain the fucks on tv saying its sad that it happend but the Us has caused problems over there, or, the we have to think of their innocents and what the rest of the world thinks. Thats just bullshit.

And a few ex-cia guys on news also said that we should act on this with hired guns, mercenaries who do this for a liveing. They will have a better chance then our soldiers, as that is how you fight a gorrilla war, which this is.

Let's come together brothers. They shall soon feel our vegence, as many others have felt in the past. I will start off by saying, I hate to see war, due to the fact that the loss & effect on innocent lives usually far exceeds the desired effect on those who we are actually targeting. I have witnessed this personally both in Bosnia 1993, and in Rwanda, Africa 1994-95.

BUT, after saying that, there comes a time where all the talking and political sanctions in the world are not enough. The senseless and cowardly act that was perpetrated against the thousands of innocent people must be avenged! These people who take innocent civillian lives with no thought or remorse must be sought out and erradicated. Along with any country who harbours and/or assists them in their endevours. These actions must be taken so a tradgedy like this never happens again.

So I say, "HIT EM......and HIT EM HARD"!!!

If you bomb Afghanistan and kill more innocent people the US are going to be opening a new tin of worms. So yes, the US need to be very carefull with its next move.

America needs to look at the root of the problem and how its actions are destroying the middleast.

Nothing wrong with being aware if your juice is comming or not. I myself have no orders pending, but I see no problem in trying to continue life. And its not a matter of whether the juice is seized or not. i bet all the bros who ordered and have their gear comming are all thinking about the incident also, so dont label them as "thoughtless".

If all we do is sit back, cancel everything, and stop with our daily routines. They will have won a victory. We will continue as we have always done. I don't think anyone in America wouldn't trade all their gear for the lives lost. But there's nothing that can be done about it now. Losing our gear to customs won't do a damn thing to bring back any of the lives lost though. Being concerned about things in life other than the WTC bombing is perfectly normal. Other than the situation of personally losing a family member, if you think about this night and day you're letting the terrorists control you. I'd rather get along with my life and remember the event. Not obsess on it. If you think I'm a cold bastard for thinking such, so be it. But unless you all have given blood, made donations, and voluteered to help in other ways, don't consider yourself any different than me...
 
how can any of you mention God's name if you are support revenge? I'm really sorry for what happened, but revenge will only bring USA to the same level as the people who have done this. This topic can't really be discussed cause there are so many variables around that we don't even know... like what USA may have done under the sheets, or what USA has been doing. I don't think USA deserved what happened, no one deserves it. But attacking Afganistan isn't the right way to go. There are millions of people just like the ones that died on the WTC living there that will die the same way. Think about the thousands of soldiers and young americans that will end up dieing in battle if USA goes into war...

But one thing is right, if it's proved that Osama Bin Devil Laden supported this act, send a MEGA ELITE TROOP to Afganistan and put him away. Kill thousands of lifes won't and let him live, won't mean a thing.

In my opinion, the right way to go is to show the rest of the world, how big and strong, and god blessed is america, and simply let this incident go by. Cause the US is much greater than that. Take these as the BRAZILIAN condolences to the american people.

what are you tring to say this is are fault ????you look at those women whose husbands died in that building and you tell them its are fault that there husband died in that buiding .there was one who just got married this past june .and there are a few who are pregant what are you going to tell there kids .

Well said WCP. Of course, I as well would gladly trade my gear for everyone's lives back. Personally though, I don't mind talking about how mail is effected as it's something else to think about. I don't want to think about the disaster 24/7 and that doesn't mean I want to forget the lives sacrificed or anything. It's just a bit much to be constantly upset and sad all the time, at least for me as I spend most of my time trying to break out of depressions.

I was stuck in cancun for 2 days extra trying to get a flight out. One last word, although I don't know much about the complicated and highly volatile world of Middle Eastern politics I do have an idea what I'm talking about when it comes to terrorism because I live in the heart of Belfast and the fact that I am only 35 means that I have only ever known violence and conflict and it's always the same story the world over a small minority fighting a war "on behalf" of people who in reality want nothing to do with them or their methods and who just want to live and let live! The Muslim religion is based on tolerance which is why every right-minded Muslim has denounced Bin Laden and BTW amongst the 5000 dead there is estimated to be at least 50 Muslims who were "sacrificed"!
 
One more thing I have to agree absolutely 110% with BigDaddyScout - Special Forces inc. the S.A.S. is the way to go but Bush has a first class administration behind him and I'm sure that they also realise this although I could not see them using mercs! As for Iraq, Saddam Hussein has something like 60 palaces so I hope they blow the shit out of them but he is going to be a very hard man to track down as he has the entire Republican Guard as a personal security service!

Let's pretend Osama Bin Laden is put away. Don't you think the TALIBAM and his followers all over the world would want to attack the USA even more, and cause another incident? Don't you guys think there are many other "Bin Ladens" around the world?

To me, this is a vicious cycle that will NEVER end. There will ALWAYS be terrorists around the world, and the US will ALWAYS be the main target, because it's the greatest and most powerful country in the world.

no there are not many Bin Laden's all over the world....they dont have $300 million to spend on terrorist training. Bin Laden has started the eventual and inevitable hunt and complete extermination of terrorists as well as himself throughout the world by numerous international orgainzations and countries. I'm a scout in the Army. I'm ready and willing to give my life for my country and for those whom are defenseless against these evils. We were just attacked on our homeland and I just want those men and even women to know that are reading this, that your country needs your support. I'm not asking you to enlist in the military, but we will need people to launch such a campaign as this one. For those Americans out there, remember how we received this freedom. It was won by brave soldiers like you and I. And now this nation's freedom is being attacked and it's asking us for support again. This is a beautiful and powerful country, it's time to prove to the world that patriotism is still just as strong if not stonger than it ever was. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THOSE WHO JOIN US IN OUR BATTLES!
 
Anabolix - I understand that you're probably a far more religious person than I am but I don't want to see troops belonging to a western coalition give their lives anymore than you do, but turning the other cheek has not worked so far - there is a peace that is only to be found on the other side of war!
By all accounts this man is going to continue to attack innocent people just like he did a week ago regardless of wether or not he is attacked so do you not think that everybody has a God given right to defend themselves and their children as bin Laden :evil: has proven himself to be an indiscriminate killer?
I hope you consider my views to be objective because as I stated in my earlier post I am not a U.S. citizen!

I am just as concerned about it today as I was the day before or even after the bombing......

It was a horrible tragedy......but it can't be undone.

and if customs or domestic postal authorities got ahold of a few or even one of my packs, I would lose alot more than my gear.....

Terrorism has been happening all over the world for a long time now, just not on this large of a scale at one time. Life goes on.
I just count my blessings that it wasn't me in those buildings.

If I could somehow take it all back I would, but cmon'......

I've been hearing a lot of talk about "bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone Age." Ronn Owens, on KGO Talk Radio today, allowed that this would mean killing innocent people, people who had nothing to do with this atrocity, but "we're at war, we have to accept collateral damage. What else can we do?"

Minutes later I heard some TV pundit discussing whether we "have the belly to do what must be done."
And I thought about the issues being raised especially hard because I am from Afghanistan, and even though I've lived here for 35 years I've never lost track of what's going on there. So I want to tell anyone who will listen how it all looks from where I'm standing. I speak as one who hates the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden. There is no doubt in my mind that these people were responsible for the atrocity in New York. I agree that something must be done about thosemonsters.
But the Taliban and Ben Laden are not Afghanistan. They're not even the government of Afghanistan. The Taliban are a cult of ignorant psychotics who took over Afghanistan in 1997. Bin Laden is a political criminal with a plan.

When you think Taliban, think Nazis. When you think Bin Laden, think Hitler. And when you think "the people of Afghanistan" think "the Jews in the concentration camps."

It's not only that the Afghan people had nothing to do with this atrocity. They were the first victims of the perpetrators. They would exult if someone would come in there, take out the Taliban and clear out the rats nest of international thugs holed up in their country. Some say, why don't the Afghans rise up and overthrow the Taliban? The answer is, they're starved, exhausted, hurt, incapacitated, suffering. A few years ago, the United Nations estimated that there are 500,000 disabled orphans in Afghanistan--a country with no economy, no food. There are millions of widows. And the Taliban has been burying these widows alive in mass graves. The soil is littered with land mines, the farms were all destroyed by the Soviets.

These are a few of the reasons why the Afghan people have not overthrown the Taliban.
We come now to the question of bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone Age. Trouble is, that's been done.
The Soviets took care of it already.
Make the Afghans suffer? They're already suffering.
Level their houses? Done.
Turn their schools into piles of rubble? Done.
Eradicate their hospitals? Done.
Destroy their infrastructure? Cut them off from medicine and health care? Too late. Someone already did all that.
New bombs would only stir the rubble of earlier bombs. Would they at least get the Taliban? Not likely. In today's Afghanistan, only the Taliban eat, only they have the means to move around. They'd slip away and hide.

Maybe the bombs would get some of those disabled orphans, they don't move too fast, they don't even have wheelchairs. But flying over Kabul and dropping

bombs wouldn't really be a strike against the criminals who did this horrific thing. Actually it would only be making common cause with the Taliban--by raping once again the people they've been raping all this time.

So what else is there? What can be done, then? Let me now speak with true fear and trembling. The only way to get Bin Laden is to go in there with ground troops.

When people speak of "having the belly to do what needs to be done" they're thinking in terms of having the belly to kill as many as needed. Having the belly to overcome any moral qualms about killing innocent people. Let's pull our heads out of the sand. What's actually on the table is Americans dying. And not just because some Americans would die fighting their way through Afghanistan to Bin Laden's hideout. It's much bigger than that folks. Because to get any troops to Afghanistan, we'd have to go through Pakistan. Would they let us? Not likely. The conquest of Pakistan would have to be first. Will other Muslim nations just stand by? You see where I'm going. We're flirting with a world war between Islam and the West.

And guess what: that's Bin Laden's program. That's exactly what he wants. That's why he did this. Read his speeches and statements. It's all right there. He really believes Islam would beat the west. It might seem ridiculous, but he figures if he can polarize the world into Islam and the West, he's got a billion soldiers.

If the west wreaks a holocaust in those lands, that's a billion people with nothing left to lose, that's even better from Bin Laden's point of view. He's probably wrong, in the end the West would win, whatever that would mean, but the war would last for years and millions would die, not just theirs but ours. Who has the belly for that?

Bin Laden does. Anyone else?
