Glucose from fat

Iron Church

Can the glucose created when fat is broken down for energy be used to fill glycogen stores when you are in a depleted state (ie low carb cycling, or ketosis maybe?)?

Im thinking no, otherwise whats the point of a carb load? if not why cant it be used?

That's a pretty good question. I would imagine no because for it to be converted into glucose for energy, your body would be needing the energy in the first place to be used for the exercise at that very moment. In a sense, that's kind of like saying the fat gets turned into muscle. I'm not entirely sure, that's just what makes sense to me. I would like to know the answer if anybody knows though.

Well i know when your in a state of ketosis your body breaks down the fat to use for energy and gets joules out of it to complete whatever tasks your doing. I just assumed that energy was in the form of glucose. Not sure hey
