Give ARod the MVP already

Arod is having By FAR the best offensive season for a shortstop in the history of the game and he is also a very steady defensive player. I don't care if his team goes 0-162, how can anyone who leads the league in HR, RBI, Runs, is 4th in Avg, 2nd in OBP and SLG be any more valuable? Miquel Tejada is having a great year, but to honest, he is dwarfed by A-Rod. Does the fact that he plays behind one of the best pitching staffs in the league make him more valuable?

I think in order to save time and discussion, they should just give the MVP to the player with the highest salary every year.
