Am i am jerk for breaking up with my GF.... she has a 1 year old baby boy.

at first i was cool with the relationship and then i didnt want to be around .... If the kid was mine I would take responsiblity. I am wrong???

I think you did the right thing, You gotta be concerned with yourself first man. Even if you stuck around you'd probably resent the baby anyways, which would be a lame situation.

How soon after you met did she introduce the child to you? I have four children and only one man will ever meet them... that will be only if the relationship becomes VERY serious indeed.

its better you leave now than wait until youre attached to the baby or vice versa. she took the responsibliity, not you. there are plenty of men out there who would love to take on a sweet woman and her child, so whatever you do, dont feel sorry for her. you will both be happier in the long run if youre honest with your feelings now. never stay out of pity.

The relationship wasn't going good so you broke up with her nothing wrong with that and your not the father of the baby so again your doing nothing wrong. Don't think so much do whats best for you.
